  1. In the space of 4 months Callahan might have done more outside of Titans media interviews than Vrabel did in his entire 6yr stay as Titans HC. For those interested the Titans/Callahan stuff starts just before the 13 minute mark. https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/a-very-nfl-fathers-day/id1190094109?i=1000658623898

  2. There's just more to talk about now with Cally and his people. This current iteration of the Titans is just flat out more intellectually stimulating. It's not fucking boring. Vrabel didn't do much because he really was a meathead without much to say. And when he did have something to say it was usually just sarcastic insults or bristling that people might dare question him and his 3 Super Bowl rings from 20 fucking years ago.

  5. If you watch that video w the blocking sleds, #53 is Charles, and he’s a beast.. #79 is Cushenberry and he’s also a beast. The interior line looks stout , but anxious to see how the depth plays out

  6. The most likely QB scenario is that Levis kinda sucks (per his scouting report) and Rudolph plays a good amount this year either due to injury or Levis eventually being benched, but we already know Rudolph is not a good QB and isn't some long term answer. IMO the QBOTF is not on the roster.

  8. Actually surprised it took us this long to bring him in. Natural fit with Bill Callahan here. Played decently in relief at LT last year for Cleveland. Was drafted by Callahan when he was at Washington, so clearly likes him as a depth player.

  9. I will say, I definitely feel I know more about Cally than I knew about Vrabel and it's only been a few months. Makes following the team more engaging. If we start winning early the Cally hype train will be unstoppable.

  10. From what I read, Biden's trial attorneys litigated that the gun law (18 USC 922) was unconstitutional under the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Bruen. The constitutionality of 18 USC 922, specifically the domestic violence prohibition under (g)(8), is pending before the U.S. Supreme Court in Rahimi. A decision should issue soon. https://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/united-states-v-rahimi/

  11. I think that the NFL definitely helps set the price and it's not just based on maximizing revenue from Sunday Ticket. There are many other considerations at play such as the NFL's business relationships with the networks. They don't actually want Sunday Ticket to be a cheaper more widely adopted product because it would destroy the networks. In late 2020, Fox and the NFL were negotiating a new deal, and emails and attachments exchanged between their top executives included Fox's specific requests with respect to the Sunday Ticket package sold by DirecTV that allows fans to watch games that aren't available though their local CBS and Fox affiliates. "Material change to the distribution of Sunday Ticket is an existential threat to Fox's business," according to Fox's responses to the NFL's rejection of its request to curb the number of new Sunday Ticket subscribers. "Fox's proposal was based on an agreed principle that Sunday Ticket would be a complementary, premium product that would not materially compete." This meant, according to Jones, that Fox didn't want Sunday Ticket to be available at no extra charge or for only a nominal additional fee. Fox sought a 20% cap on new Sunday Ticket subscribers, as part of the negotiations, and requested that the NFL would require a base price for $293.96 per season for the package. "It was an ask," Jones testified. "We didn't win that point — and we still signed the contract." https://www.courthousenews.com/fox-saw-sunday-ticket-as-existential-threat-to-its-nfl-broadcasts-jury-hears/

I'm convinced self-awareness must be suspended to be a Trumper Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) called former Speaker Paul Ryan (R) a “piece of garbage” after the former House Speaker called former President Trump “unfit for office” and vowed not to vote for him in November, in an interview earlier Tuesday. “Paul Ryan, you’re a piece of garbage. You’re a piece of garbage. And you we should kick you out of the party. For Paul Ryan to say he’s not voting for Donald Trump – that’s the problem with some of our Republicans. It’s guys like that,” Nehls told CNN’s Manu Raju, in an interview that aired early Wednesday. “Don’t go spouting your mouth off and saying you’re a conservative,” Nehls added. “You’re spitting in the face of the leader of our party, Donald Trump. I mean, grow up a little bit.”

  18. Yeah the whole situation is disheartening. It's disheartening that people - anyone at all - are so propagandized and ignorant, that they can't use simple logic or understand BS when they see it, can't separate an emotional argument from reality. It's disheartening that Christian religion teaches love your neighbor / treat others how you want to be treated and that the Republican Party preaches small governemnt... but the literal exact opposite is the main tenant of their party now and folks that have been in it so long are too dense to notice the difference. That's what's disheartening. Most of the actual election stuff going on (not random polling) is actually pretty heartening. There's lots of reason for encouragement. Just this week, a republican district in Ohio shifted +20 points in a special election towards the Dems. Yeah, the Dem still lost but Republicans and Trump won by 30+ points last time and this time it's around 10. The Democratic Candidate was a waiter that raised only $25,000 vs his opponent who was a State Senator that raised like 30x that.

  20. And? the point remains whether we agree or not, the Titans drafted him to play LT and they aren't going to give up that idea anytime soon. I'd imagine he gets at a minimum this season and maybe even next to show he can play LT. If he can't, they will simply have been wrong about it and will deserve criticism for it.

  25. Alan Dershowitz said it’s a false equivalence to compare Biden's conviction on three felony federal firearms charges on Tuesday to the conviction of Donald Trump two weeks ago. After all, Biden was convicted of a “real crime” whereas Trump’s was a “made-up charge.” “Trump was convicted of a made-up charge; there's nothing to the case. I still can't figure out what the actual conviction is based on. On the other hand, Hunter Biden was convicted of a real crime."

  28. I dont have in depth stats but he seems at least serviceable. 1824 total snaps. 12 sacks given up 12 penalties So just to estimate.. if over his career half of snaps were passes... He gives up 1 sack every 76 attempts or less than 1 every couple games in this offense. Similar for penalties... 1 every 2.5 games or so. Would be one of our better guys the last couple years! haha.

  30. This is actually a strong point. I'm not a big fan of the veteran LTs that were on the market but it is pretty irresponsible to go into the season with just JC. Shoot, JC could be as advertised but get hurt in week 6. Then what?

  31. Why isn't Trump's kids getting banned from charities devastating? They stole from a kids charity. That happened before Hunter was charged. Why wasn't it huge news? No one cared

  32. People already voting for Trump will care. It's not going to sway the election. And if people do care then Trump's in deep shit. The media has already covered it more than they have Trump's kids stealing from a kids cancer charity and Ivanka and Jared getting 2 bill from Saudi while actually in the administration

  35. I realized why this thread has little energy. It's not the D's. It's because no R's can defend any of the bullshit the R as spewing out. MTG, the bleached up blond with the butch body said, "They say Trump is a convicted felon. The lord I serve was a convicted felon, hung on a cross and killed." And the crowd cheered! WTF do you say to anybody sucking up that kinda b.s. The ones who post here are rubber spine cowards. Closet MAGAs. Loyal follower of DT, but afraid to try to explain what their fellow R are gobbling up. Totally willing to believe anything for the sake of evil. I can imagine a maga at the pearly gates saying DT reminded me of Jesus. St Peter, "RETARD! GTFOH."

  38. https://euromaidanpress.com/2024/06/11/now-we-make-russia-pay-eu-to-transfer-first-1-6-bn-in-frozen-russian-assets-to-ukraine/ European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the first €1.5 billion ($1.6 billion) in revenue from frozen Russian assets will be transferred to Ukraine as early as July, in line with international law and while ensuring financial market stability. The West holds around $300 billion of Russian central bank assets frozen worldwide, with most of them being in the European Union. The discussions on using this money for Ukrainian aid and reconstruction are ongoing. Speaking at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024 in Berlin on 11 June, Ursula von der Leyen stated that 90% of the funds will be allocated to defense, while the remaining 10% will be directed towards reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.

  40. I think you have this backwards my guy. They're not forcing him to play LT because they took him 7th, rather they took him at #7 because they think he can play LT at a high level. Whether they end up being right is what we don't know but that's the case for every draft pick ever made. This is not exactly a Skoronski situation.
