Considering 1st round bust rates and the fact the average career is less than 4 years I'd say the consensus big boards are wrong just as much as everyone else is.

I mean that's fine but I think it's fallacy to not think if your team takes a guy and 15+ outside opinions see the player the same way, it's a safer pick than if 15 other opinions see the guys different or that doesn't have a compounded effect over time.

I would also argue that the teams at the top of this chart have a pretty good track record which supports what I'm saying. That doesn't mean The Titans or anyone at the bottom of this thing had a bad draft. That's impossible to know and it's unfair to label anyone this early but I do think it's fair to have some concerns and this is just one more tool we as fans have. Not something that should be relied on as a lone source of information.

The biggest bright spot last night was Sweat's play.    6 tackles, 2 more loss and constantly disrupting the Miami blocking schemes. He did this without Simmons as well. He played 78% of the

Titans HAD to upgrade their Dline. Newton, Fiske, and Jenkins were all guys who played the same role as Simmons. I like those guys but I've told people all offseason that the Titans weren't going to d

As long as they can keep Sweat away from Davenport he's got a chance!

The Simmons comparison is a non starter. Unless I missed a lot of shit he made one mistake in highschool. This dude has ?s threw college all the way up till the month of the draft.

The media didn't treat it like a non starter. They were painting him as some misogynistic beast or whatever. Woman hater who likes to beat on women. Context didn't matter.

Context doesn't matter a lot in "journalism" these days. Only narrative.

Simmons messed up in high school, but he was clean since then and he was defending his sister or something?

Sweat has red flags going back years and during the draft process.

Not even remotely the same thing.

That's one year's worth of data. What does it look like over 5-10 years or longer. The point remains. Only OT has a 50% non bust rate in the 1st round which means the "big board" is wrong a lot. It's not an exact science despite what the draftniks think.

People vastly underestimate the power of consensus.

I'm not worried about the DWI. He was sleeping in his car iirc and someone hit him. Essentially he was trying not to drive drunk by sleeping it off.

But that's just the story i heard. Haven't looked into it much.
