Popular Post AussieTitanFan08 Posted yesterday at 06:07 PM Popular Post Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:07 PM (edited) @ctmthe Titans did not acquire the Jets 6th round pick as part of the Brownlee trade the Jets had already traded that pick away to the Jags. The Titans acquired the Ravens 6th round pick as part of the Brownlee trade. This McCreary trade sees the Titans send the Rams back their own 6th round pick that the Titans acquired as part of the Ernest Jones trade and receive back the Titans own 5th round pick that was also part of the original Ernest Jones trade. Effectively the Titans just reversed the Ernest Jones trade from last offseason by sending McCreary to the Rams. Putting that into actual picks if the draft was held today the Titans would of moved up from pick #205 to #142. SleepingTitan Posted yesterday at 06:18 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:18 PM This is dumb af. But hey, I love Borgonzi's confidence in finding McCrearys that late. Who knows, maybe he does find like 10 starters in next year's draft lol titanskick8851, oracle, airmcnair22, and 1 other 1 2
Bulluck4dmvp Posted yesterday at 06:21 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:21 PM If they can get to 10 total picks, that would be a solid start airmcnair22, DCTitan, and titanskick8851
AussieTitanFan08 Posted yesterday at 06:23 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:23 PM Using the Jimmy Johnson trade value chart the Titans received the value of pick #166 for sending McCreary to the Rams which is around a mid 5th round pick which is fair value for a 10 game rental of McCreary. Due to the Rams already having their bye if he stays healthy McCreary will play an 18 game regular season. This trade also continues a recent trend of acquiring teams preferring to deal with pick swaps than outright trade away picks. My suspicion this new trend is tied to the massive salary cap increase diluting the FA pool year after year and teams putting a higher value on individual draft picks in the player acquisition cycle. tgo, and titanskick8851
titanruss Posted yesterday at 06:30 PM Author Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:30 PM Ok hear me out. What if we sign McCreary to a FA deal in the off-season? I'm only partly kidding. airmcnair22

Grizz Posted yesterday at 06:35 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:35 PM The McCreary trade makes more sense to me than the Brownlee trade. I will say it is going to get worse before it gets better. Hope beyond hope we get the #1 overall pick and someone offers a King's Ransom for a QB. Maybe the Browns end up somewhere in the top 5 and give us the Jags picks and other firsts. We need it so desperately. We'll probably be drafting Jeremiah Smith in 2027. The trouble with dealing Simmons, is you're just hoping to draft another Simmons. I am of the mindset that DT isn't that important (in terms of need of elite talent) airmcnair22
