  1. Recent trends have revealed what this team is--I think we are a move or step up away, but truly are that close. The BC injury hurts, and it feels like such a missed opportunity that we couldn't swing him or Smart for something more. But we've never truly seen consistent ball from our top three over the course of a season. I don't buy into slumps one way or another, but the tiers that I have had these teams in all season really seem accurate to me--Boston, OKC, and Cleveland above the rest, with Nuggets right behind and then right behind them we now have Lakers, Knicks, and Grizzlies. I don't really see any outside of the top four as stepping up without everything going right and the back half of the NBA playoffs will be NASTY in the West. We've also seen a really hard blow with the Lillard injury affecting the Bucks chances. I knock them down a peg and place them with the Pacers (who I don't believe in). On the other hand, if Curry is healthy, the Warriors are looking like a team again with Butler. A team like Houston could draw them and what a nightmare that would be. Houston is currently #2 in the West--I will be honest, I just don't see it. Good and rising team, but primed for an upset. It would suck if they drew Warriors in round one.
  2. Right. And I think we are seeing a reverse trend here, where the NFL was drafting QBs on talent and intangibles more so than experience. There is something to be said about a guy that succeeds at a level--steps up and succeeds at another level--steps up and supersedes expectations at yet another level. This to me is something that translates--Ward has been successful in three different environments. It is rare to get that kind of data on a player, and the number of snaps our organization is able to view exceeds a lot of what is out there with other players--and you have to hope our FO has reviewed all of them.
  3. Sanders's value all over the place. I could honestly see him doing a Brady Quinn like slide. I've floated this before, but the most interesting possible version of that is Titans go Ward, Browns go Carter and Giants draft Hunter. Then Giants move back up into the first to draft Shedeur. It would certainly generate nuclear buzz and would put a crazy clock on Daboll with Prime lurking as a potential head coach. Would I do it? Hell no. Would I do it if I was a Madden influencer trying to get view on a mediocre youtube video? Hell yes.
  4. I will say, I love the blend of confidence and humility--his approach does seem solid, he's not bullshitting--they asked the question about McNair and he could bullshit and he didn't--they asked him about being #1 overall and he said "I control what I control", contrasted to Carter's weird font posturing. The more I see of this guy, I like. I like that it wasn't handed to him out of the gate and he had to fight and claw his way to a big program. I always try to be optimistic about our players, but Will Levis's weird shit felt like an influencer wanna be--all style no substance, the mayo stunt from day one, the commercials before even being drafted, dropping his one influencer girlfriend from someone from Pilot Pete's season of the Bachelor--that's a dark timeline my friends, and not the substance of an NFL QB. Cam's attitude looks different. And he already has an effortless charisma with our staff (where Levis seemed like a high schooler meeting his girlfriend's dad). I'm all in on it at this point.
  5. 53 receptions in 27 games. We do sometimes see guys break out after such a bad track record but it has to be rare. I'd like to give him an opportunity elsewhere. I'd love to see more change of scenery trades in the NFL. Given the similar draft trajectory and injuries, maybe we could swap him with Skyy Moore from the Chiefs?
  6. We need to draft him to this message board. Given his blatant alcoholism and disdain for societal norms he would fit right in.
  7. Chad Ryland is an interesting one as to why you look for the guys that might have been given up on too soon. He was absolutely fantastic for Arizona. He just needed a year to settle.
  8. Yep. I'm all for adding a young leg and brining in camp competition. Maybe it's a young guy that got churned from another organization, maybe it's an undrafted Free Agent. I don't hope we use a draft pick on one--just sign the guy and see what he can do. Slye has been right around 80%, which is a significant drop off from Folk. Not sure what else you can do because time comes for us all.
  9. With Jefferson and Addison, fantastic coaching, and a very solid line he's got to decide if he truly wants a second chance to continue his NFL career or not. Look at the money Darnold was able to get as part of that offense--Tannehill could be looking at the best opportunity to earn a decent sized contract. Especially because McCarthy is a total unknown at this point.
  10. I agree. So many layers to it--I also just love the originality of it and the weird layers. Also one of the better casts I can recall for a show like this.
  11. I also don't see Levis to the Vikings at all. They already have a developmental QB in place. Raiders might be a good fit or Saints.
  12. It's all fun and games when you realize Spears was drafted two picks before Achane.
  13. I mean it would be really, really sick if Ward got permission from Moon to wear #1. We haven't seen someone ball out in Titans gear with that number. I think 7 is the likely bet, which is also solid IMO, but there is something about 1 that is pretty cool.
  14. Anyone with taste will like this show. I actually hate Apple products and the only thing I have is Apple TV--worth it for Severance.
