- Creative Artist agency is one of the biggest and most important agencies in the game, and Brian Ayrault of CAA counts Robinson as a client. He also counts Ryan Tannehill as a client.

There were times it seemed like CAA had a lot of sway with Robinson and the Titans. In addition to Tannehill, they represent Derrick Henry, Harold Landry, Taylor Lewan, Bud Dupree, Ben Jones, Morgan Cox, A.J. Moore and Nicholas Petit-Frere. That's a pretty good list of Titans. Did Robinson sharing an agency with them help or hurt in negotiations?

Damn that is some interesting stuff about CAA and the deals that a lot of those players have since gotten from this organization.

Vrabel gaining more personnel control is not a good thing - regardless of who the new GM is - I promise you that.

Vrabel's comment "who is he going to throw it to?" about the receivers/Malik is a little more cryptic now.    I loved Jrob, but I love AAS more. She ain't fucking around. Ya love to see it.

Some interesting tidbits from PK's new article today:

Robinson hired Vrabel and Vrabel will now surely have a hand in hiring the next GM. He should. He will certainly be of more influence. But as good as Vrabel is, I’ve talked to people around the league who believe it’s a danger to give a strong-willed coach something like complete control.

- His (Robinson's) outward-facing personality and the way he interacted with players were healthy for the franchise. I can't imagine, however, that it didn't drive Vrabel crazy that his GM frequently wore a whistle and found ways, even if they seemed minor, of getting himself involved in practices. Most people in his position watch practices with a keen eye, they don't get involved in them.

-  Vrabel didn’t thank Robinson in his coach of the year speech at NFL Honors the night before the Super Bowl in February. In July, he said, “I don’t want to be a coach who relies on talent.”

- But it’s a good time for fresh blood and I hope Vrabel, who’s got a wide network from coaching at Ohio State and with the Texans and from playing in Pittsburgh, New England and Kansas City, will point Strunk to some candidates who would come in with a different view and perhaps a better scouting resume at some positions – offensive line, wide receiver – where the Titans are struggling.

CAA is a massive agency, there are crossovers like this in every NFL organization. It's possible that it created some bias but very unlikely, in my opinion.

I wonder what type of QB the now more Vrabel led franchise would prefer. Which QBs generally give us the most fits? That's usually the type of QB coaches like Vrabel prefers

No doubt someone exactly like what they saw on Sunday.  A Jalen Hurts clone.

I think Robinson was on a downwards trend for some time, but I'm still really uneasy about Vrabel picking the players if that's how it goes

One thing we will see: A lot less medically questionable players

Yup. Vrabel hates these injury prone fucks.

Ok. So you see what happens these playoffs. The whole thing is odd to do at this time.

I agree the timing is off but its clear AAS lost confidence in Jrob's ability to run the team. There appears to be quite a bit coming out about Jrob and Vrabel disagreeing on big moves. I just find it odd all this came to a head in 9 months after both guys got extensions.

I think you guys are fooling yourselves if you thought this season was a real contender season after going all-in last season. Once Landry went down, this year was done. Once Lewan went down, the ceiling was winning the division.

But this current team is structured to retool and make another run with key talent while shedding obvious contracts and getting through the Tanny contract. Simmons is/was the last piece.
