Levis is a naturally talented NFL QB

There absolutely will be a two pronged effect.  Anything Levis does good will be exaggerated and people will pretend that Tannehill was Mariota or Locker or VY level bad.

Way too early to tell about Levis, but here are some positives:

 

1) He has an absolute cannon and went through progressions well

 

2) He played like a smart QB (throw into dirt behind Henry and taking the sack late in the 4th)

 

3) He’s confident and trusts his arm

 

4) Teammates are fired up about him, especially the defense. I’m sure it was refreshing for them to know the team could keep scoring unlike what they’ve been dealing with. The video released today of Jeff was awesome

No need to pretend ... the stats and record over the past couple of seasons prove it.

Looks like Levis is in the zone during practice.  His release somehow looks even quicker.  Willis looks like he’s moving in mud in comparison.  Kid’s got some confidence for sure.

When you can sense that the players believe in the QB that tends to be a good sign. And that doesn't mean nice PR speak to the media either.

 

I definitely don't expect 4 TD again on Thursday and it's certainly likely he will struggle more. Road game, short week, Steelers. Sometimes you find out more about a QB when it's not going as well. Maybe Levis struggles but if he can still make enough plays to get a W there's still a lot of positive in that.

Tannehill was one of the best playaction QBs in the league, for years now and even this year. Which funny enough was pointed to as some kind of weakness. Levis was great in playaction Sunday and it's the greatest QBing of all time.

The Broncos players were fired about about Drew Lock during his rookie season.  Von Miller said he loves Locl, and he's a "fucking rock star"

 

I like what I saw from Levis way more than anything from lock, but just FYI

People have very short memories. I will say though that in terms of any one single game, Levis played about as well as Tannehill ever did and with a lesser supporting cast. No need to shit on Tannehill on the way to compliment Levis though. That's that petty, salty TR shit. People can go in on pro-Tannehill posters to their heart's content but shitting on Tannehill himself makes you sound like an reactionary ingrate.
