Henry was the leading RB in the NFL, then no injury or anything to slow him down he has multiple carries that produce negative yards.  Games where he has 30yds, but same game he has 50yds after contact.  I'm an advocate of just watching the game.  When Henry was 2K'n, he wasn't picking up those yards after getting hit in the backfield.  You can see that just watching the play.

I think it’s less what moves JRob made in those 10 months and more what does the team look like in the light of day. Terrible OLine, terrible WR corps (not just AJ Brown, but also the Robert Woods trade), Farley looking like yet another bust, etc. All products of bad JRob decisions.

 

Ending last season, even with the playoff loss, the team was looking great and JRob was the guy who put that team together. And now that the roster problems are more glaring, she decided to find someone else to buy the groceries while they still had a chance to win now (?).

The Beasely and Clowney contracts to go with Julio and Woods compared to the 2nd and 4th and at least 2 of 3 from AJ/Davis/Jonnu is a big deal. Those are four big contracts that haven't provided a damn thing for the team versus 3 homegrown players who were big parts of a top offense. 

 

You add in the line this year and there you go. I don't give two shits about if the Eagles game was the final straw. I didn't see it coming, but I understand it.

Due to his dead cap, Farley is almost guaranteed to be on the roster through next year. At this point I am almost to move him to FS and have him learn behind Byard, but all signs point to Farley being a no body.

I truly believe it was the complete infunctionability of the OL that led to this decision, probably along with an admission that there was nothing to be done to improve the situation, which was not an acceptable response from a management perspective.

By this logic it wouldn't be worth paying anyone that pays a dependent position like RB, WR, TE, etc. Henry got paid because when the conditions are at least acceptable (which there is no excuse for them not to be) he's one of the most dangerous players in the NFL. This offense needed guys who can actually score points. You can feel however you feel about it but at the time he and AJ Brown were the only two guys even capable of doing this for us. He's also not making that much  money, it's just a lot for a RB. His contract isn't nearly the problem people make it out to be and not signing him doesn't guarantee we put that money to better use given what J-Rob did with the money we did have.

The Shanahan system isn't about bouncing runs outside necessarily. Even in the zone running game you don't want to be overly bouncing runs to the outside. Besides we've seen him bounce runs to the outside successfully this year. Don't be a prisoner of the moment.
