AJ Brown's handling is the obvious factor due to the timing but I suspect it may have more to do with the OL. Don't forget as bad as AJ made the trade seem this past game the OL performed even worse than that. It is absolutely fighting for the league's most worst unit and as I keep harping on, relying on Lewan to be healthy 17+ games was a joke of a plan at the most important OL position.

 

The OL will kill the Titans 2022 chances and it killed JRob.

This should send a message to every GM. Do not let star players walk, even if they’re asking for crazy money. Robinson would still be the GM if he had just signed AJ and cut cap around the edges.

OL was fine by the end of the year. Julio and AJ played great in the game. Sure TE depth is the reason they lost to the bengals.

They should have been planning to replace him after he got popped for the PED suspension or at the latest when he had the knee injury last year.  Gross incompetence on that part.

I always hated his part of his philosophy with some of our key free agents. He would say they "earned" the right to see what they can get on the open market and then many never even heard back from us.

 

If Davis and Jonnu are cut this off-season, I would have no issues bringing one or both of them back.

Honestly still trying to work my head around the timing of the decision.

 

Even though I have been heavily critical of the way Robinson dismantled the 2019-2020 offense and his penchant to gamble on players with injury/character issues early in the draft I thought he would be given the opportunity to right the ship.

 

Going to make for a very interesting offseason for this franchise and its pretty clear Vrabel now has more power within this organization than he did 24hrs ago.

Imma die if Vrabel now changes the LT and LG and they play much better than Daley and Brewer lol.

 

For how bad Daley is doing it made zero sense not to try something different. This is conspiracy level nuts and most likely not true but….

 

I assume Jrob and Vrabel have been at odds post AJB trade. What if Vrabel intentionally used Daley the pass blocking to get his point across and the Eages game highlighted it massively. Their pass blocking and Hurts time vs Tannehills time.
