BaddKarma
Jrob is the reason this team is staring into the abyss of a quick first round exit and most likely a mini-rebuild. There are several people around here including myself that have said for a long time that Jrob is the problem with this team and the reason they have not grown as a roster since 2019. I am a little surprised that his firing is done in a way that is this easy to read, but AAS may be the real deal. OL is getting Henry and RT17 killed. AJB going off on another Titans early dud McCreary and then exclaiming he won weather the Eagles won or not. Wilson, Radunz, Farley, and all the other early round scrubs were reason alone to let Jrob go. Addressing the OL during the off-season and now show how incapable JRob is. Half the Buffalo OL are players developed by Vrabel's staff, meanwhile, RT17 is getting nuked every passing down and Henry looks like clown running into nothing 15 times a game. The talent at WR and TE is for the most part non existent. The bottom line is the roster and picks have gotten worse and worse over the last three years and that saying something. JRob has wasted the best years of RT17 and 22 period by not maximizing the roster. Titans in for a mini rebuild/rebuild for sure. Jrob aint the man for the job... headhunter, Hyperion, and Bluth
scine09
Just now, oldschool said: the team played that way in 2019 and 2020 when they had weapons. I don't buy it. I will say that the OL is so bad this year and the offensive weapons poor you can argue they have to be more conservative to protect the QB. There are reasons and none of us truly know what's going on behind the scenes. We can only speculate. But I said this the other day, I don't believe that Mike Vrabel is a conservative head coach. Maybe we have different definitions of it but to me a conservative head coach means you coach scared or not to lose. I have never thought of Vrabel coaching that way. Maybe he did in the two games that Willis started but he had no choice. IsntLifeFunny, and Mythos27
flaming_thumbtack
I am very interested in seeing how this impacts the team's direction. This offseason could be a crossroads: we could reload and make a last-ditch effort with RT and DH or we could rebuild and try to go for a QB with a trade-up or by tanking next year. Personally, I think we have too much talent to rebuild, but I am also not sure we have enough talent to win it all; I suppose this no-mans-land situation is why JRob was let go. Mike Herndon also thought Vrabel would make him the new GM. That would be kind of a laughable GM hire. Why is it laughable? Because it's not a typical mainstream hire and is outside the box? You just know Brady plans on playing until he's 123 years old... I bet Vrabel had Brady in the bag and Jrob didn't want to relinquish anymore draft/FA control. Popular Post nine
JRob has obviously had some huge costly misses in rounds 1-2…but still managed to improve the overall talent by mining excellent talent in the mid-to-late rounds. We obviously don’t know the team’s inner workings….but I wonder if perhaps JRob focused his efforts and attention primarily on rounds 1-3 and delegated the day 3 decisions (rounds 4-7) to Cowden and the scouting staff. If so, that might explain why JR is gone: AAS finally realized most of the big mistakes were on him and most of the home runs were Cowden’s decisions. headhunter, IsntLifeFunny, Supdawg, and 2 others

I wonder if losing against a team like the Eagles who are built the way the Titans should be, showed AAS that Jrob wasn't the guy. 100% he didn't do enough. He didn't do nearly enough. Brown was still under contract and JRob folded, probably after insulting Brown's camp with a lowball offer. He's very conservative on offense but not in the "hey I'm going to punt from the 40" way like Bowles is.

I was joking, but I do wonder if Vrabel wanted Robinson to move on from Tannehill and sign Brady. Could be on the list of all the reasons Vrabel didn't want to work with Robinson anymore. 1 minute ago, rns90 said: Uh did you watch the last five minutes of MNF yesterday? titansfan
AJ Brown was clearly a much bigger deal than what many here thought, btw. A lot of people try to wave it off as shrewd GM decision making but that trade took so much energy from this team. It was the final straw and it's no coincidence this moves comes as Eagles fans are literally laughing in the faces of Titans ownership. Sunday made what was already a terrible decision and embarrassing realization. Hyperion, titanruss, and CreepingDeath
