IrishTitansFan
Ward has, by all accounts, really struggled all summer both in practice and in preseason. I don’t really care about either, but we will see what happens oldschool

He's way better than any rookie since McNair, which I guess is a small consolation given how terrible our QBs have been sans 2 and a half seasons of Tannehill, but he deserves more time. He’s going to take a while to get there - similar to McNair’s slow ascension. IsntLifeFunny

I see so many young QBs trying to get style points by throwing from awkward positions, flat-footed, sidearm, never stepping into anything....basically trying too hard to be Mahomes Edited Wednesday at 03:50 AM by kgsTitan
AussieTitanFan08
Hard Knocks showed the joint practice with the Titans today and they painted the Titans in a pretty decent light and repeatedly showed how frustrated Macdonald was especially dealing with the physicality of the Titans run game. The actual PSG2 however they certainly made it clear what the Seahawks backups did to the Titans starters. Management screwed up by sticking him with Callahan - who had overseen Levis going from a reasonably promising rookie QB to a punchline. Not only did Ward not improve his mechanics, he is shell shocked from taking so many sacks and having nobody who could catch a pass. It really extended the amount of time he'll need to truly get up to speed as an NFL QB
Bulluck4dmvp
It was always going to be a work in progress, especially after the disaster of coaching last year Omar
EC34
The video is worth the watch. Cam's decision making is much improved. He has mechanical adjustments still to be made.
reo
Looks like his decision making is mostly good or at least fine. He's just lazy w/ his feet which we saw in college. Popular Post TF_Titan
I fully expect Cam to have an up and down year, but I also think he has qualities and intangibles that will make him successful once the game slows down for him. That won't likely be this season...at least during the early part. They just need to stay the course. scine09
Was everything that Young, Locker, Mettenberger, Mariota and Tannehill did under this much of a microscope? I feel like every single drop back is analyzed at a level that wasn't seen prior. Maybe with Levis this was how it was which is why I didn't include him above. I think it's the constant opinions (everyone has one, from A to Z Nashville to the multiple Titans podcasts to all the nationals shows), things that may not have been around when the other guys were QBs, and everyone having access to those opinions who watch/listen to them as if they're fact which has brought this on. Who knows, maybe Ward is not going to be good and will be a problem for the Titans. I don't know. Nor does anyone else. However, making these judgments after six drives of meaningless football when none of us have any idea of what players are being asked to do or, as shown in that video in the Seahawks game thread, when none of us even know who was at fault for the deep incompletion to Tate, is flat out ridiculous. I know we need things to talk about but it's gone overboard. IMO.
