Titans 2026 Training Camp Discussion

Was everything that Young, Locker, Mettenberger, Mariota and Tannehill did under this much of a microscope?  I feel like every single drop back is analyzed at a level that wasn't seen prior.  Maybe with Levis this was how it was which is why I didn't include him above.  I think it's the constant opinions (everyone has one, from A to Z  Nashville to the multiple Titans podcasts to all the nationals shows), things that may not have been around when the other guys were QBs, and everyone having access to those opinions who watch/listen to them as if they're fact which has brought this on.  Who knows, maybe Ward is not going to be good and will be a problem for the Titans.  I don't know.  Nor does anyone else.  However, making these judgments after six drives of meaningless football when none of us have any idea of what players are being asked to do or, as shown in that video in the Seahawks game thread, when none of us even know who was at fault for the deep incompletion to Tate, is flat out ridiculous.  I know we need things to talk about but it's gone overboard.  IMO.

Being the number one overall pick changes expectations in a big way. Way more pressure than even a top 5 or ten pick. Also doesn't help that the success rate isn't great - 4 out of 28 retired number 1 overall QBs are in the HOF. People expect that guy to come in and play lights out and that's not how it usually works.

The important thing is we see progress. I'd love a drake maye bump but I'll take a Caleb Williams level of improvement.

Welp there it is lol

lol PK posted AI slop and had to delete it    it was a graphic of the 30 most important titans at training camp this year and feature notable titans such as Jared Verse, Jaylon Johnson and N

It would be pretty ideal if Latham is making strides to becoming the OT he was drafted to be and Carmona is a solid starting rookie.

I don't think it's where he was drafted.  It's just the nature of the position and the times we're in now.  If he was the 10th overall pick it would be the same thing.

social media and grievance culture has damn near ruined sports conversation. Clay Travis showed the nashville media machine being critical and hating everything gets you clicks. Stillman followed suit and over the past few years PK has shed is grumpy nature for one similar to Travis and Stillman. Then throw in all the idiots with mic pretending to offer expert analysis like ticktakmoron and its hard to navigate whats worth consuming vs whats not.

Yeah.  Travis introduced the 'variety sports talk show' that took over Nashville sports talk radio.  You tune it to 104.5 these days and are more than likely to hear talk about pop culture crap than sports.  Stillman is a Cowherd disciple of the hot take.  Unlistenable now.  I feel PK is more straight, but certainly has increased the contrarian takes to generate fan engagement.  I completely ignore tictacmoron...

I tune into 1045 the Zone for the vibes. You get some nuggets here and there from guests or things people have told them. I really like how the show has progressed with Slay/Ramon.

This was a big nothingburger for sure...

It is a league mandated thing to get exposure for assistant GM's.

I did think it was good information when Ziegler broke down how Borgonzi sets up and grades his waiver wire process. Also sounds like they are in active conversations with other teams to see if there could be any beneficial player for player swaps that can help both teams.
