He should have gone 4 though. He was superior to mhj imo. Ridley isnt the worst comparison style wise but tate is better across the board and vastly superior in a couple ways. Tates drop rate for his whole college career is 3.8, 0% this past season. Ridley was 9.3% My point is in the top 5 you get guys like this 1st: NONE 2nd: Calvin Johnson, Charles Rogers 3rd: Braylon Edwards, Larry Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson 4th: Amari Cooper, Sammy Watkins, AJ Green, Peter Warrick 5th: Jamarr Chase, Corey Davis, Justin Blackmon 6th: Jalen Waddle, Julio Jones Six of these guys are Hall of Fame level players. That's what you want at 4th overall pick. Calvin Johnson Larry Fitzgerald Andre Johnson Julio Jones Ja’Marr Chase (trajectory) A.J. Green (elite peak) I don't think Tate fits in that category of a prospect. Mabye its possible but for me its a stretch. He has questionable hands and has for years as opposed to Tate. Again they are different players. And they need multiple WR so I don’t know why you are comparing them. Popular Post Pragidealist
guys like this. That #3–#6 range has produced a lot of elite players. This is what I want from the 4th overall pick- generational RBs (Payton, Sanders, Tomlinson) elite WRs (Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, Tim Brown) dominant OL/DL (Ogden, Walter Jones, Derrick Thomas) It's a prime window/zone for superstar talent. I don't care what position. reo, IsntLifeFunny, Starkiller, and 7 others

If you don't know why I was comparing them then you could.. you know. move on. I wasn't talking to you. But Tate and Ridley comparison has been done many times... I didn't invent it. Even the poster I was talking to said it wasn't a bad one. But sure.. not that big of a deal to my bigger point. Not a hill I'm dying on.

I want the best chance and getting a generational talent. If that's Love, draft him. If that's Styles, draft him. If that's Downs, draft him. i don't care. #4 should be the pick where you get a guy who changes your team. And don't get me wrong.. Latham is fine. But we could've gotten a damn RT in the 2nd round. Neither are YAC guys, but are both boundary guys, good at ball tracking, both good at high pointing, and both move the same with a smooth stride and leveraging how they get open. And they Green was a bit more explosive, whereas Tate is a bit more smooth. And Tate has hands made of Gorilla glue. Whether he has the career Green had remains to be seen, although having Cam as his QB he'll have of opportunities.

He hasnt shown that to me and when I watch him being a generational WR seems a stretch but .. talent evaluation kinda sucks. I don't hate your opinion.. I just dont see it. I think aj is a little to big for the comparison. But he certainly is closer to him than Ridley. Hell, id say he reminds me alot of fitz. I wont use that as a comparison because the dude is a legend but an elite route runner who catches everything he touches but isnt a burner sure sounds like the fitz arch type. Those guys jumped off the tape though. I dont' see him as that high of a prospect but cool. Love for me is the only one that jumps off the screen that way. Downs has that rep and does but his athleticism doesnt as much. I'll watch more of him though. I'm not exactluy down on him when I'm basically just saying he doesn't scream future hall of famer the way I want. But if he is that level of prospect as Fitz.. yeah.. go get him.
