Ridley's drop rate out of college was about 7% (going by memory). He was productive, fast and a good route runner. Who would you comp to Tate? Exactly and Nabers is better than Tate.. he's more what I expect in a top 10 wr.

That's what would make it worth it; not some two-way BS with Travis Hunter, but a top 3 NFL RB with homerun speed who can also straight up play WR on the outside. RB playing both WR and RB is not near the same as hunter going two ways on both sides of the ball. That Love can be a legit WR as well as a RB does add to his value. Nabers is better than tate, my point was he went lower because of who else was in that draft. He should have gone 4 though. He was superior to mhj imo. Ridley isnt the worst comparison style wise but tate is better across the board and vastly superior in a couple ways. Tates drop rate for his whole college career is 3.8, 0% this past season. Ridley was 9.3% Edited March 4 by Callidus NashvilleNinja

I understand your point of view believe me but at the end of the day you have to ask yourself who is the best offensive player this off-season in the draft or free agency. I think we'll add enough pieces on defense to make that kinda move

He didn't have a ton of receptions, but he is known as a more natural hands catcher than body. Notre Dame did send him out into the slot. Used him on wheel routes and angle routes. His route tree is still basic, but he's known to have a strong work ethic so he can probably develop there.

Its about who Tate comps to and where he belongs in the first round. I don't really see Tate as a generational player like a Calvin Johnson. He's a fine mid first round WR and will be a decent pro probably. But he's not Calvin Johnson or Chase. He comps to a slightly better version of Ridley when Ridley came out of college. maybe a bit higher but Ridley went 23. so.. mid round first.. I prefer - if tehy can- get a generational talent in teh top 5.
