They look similar with how they move and are both mostly used as intermediate to deep threats. But i also said tate blows him away in just about every way. I need a shrug emoji. I borrowed the comp from somewhere. It wasn't really my main point but marker to make a larger one. Lantern

But he certainly is closer to him than Ridley. Hell, id say he reminds me alot of fitz. I wont use that as a comparison because the dude is a legend but an elite route runner who catches everything he touches but isnt a burner sure sounds like the fitz arch type. AJ Green and Fitz were way more accompished in college than Tate. Tate kinda reminds me of Mike Williams, Tee Higgins Pragidealist

He was pretty much seen as elite from day 1. I can't remember if Fitz was. I don't like comping them to Tate. They were way more hyped out of the draft than Tate with the production to back it. Everyone had them as a cinch top 5 pick. Pragidealist

Tate kinda reminds me of Mike Williams, Tee Higgins Green was the unquestioned #1 receiver at Georgia. Some of the receivers he played with were in the NFL but none were anywhere near Green's level of talent and none had had anything remotely close to matching his success. Tate has had stiff competition all three of his years at Ohio. Buried on the depth chart behind Marvin Harrison and Emeka Ebuka his freshman year and played 2nd fiddle to Jeremiah Smith both of his last two years there. I mean, if the comparative hype of Smith is accurate then that would have been like AJ Green playing at Alabama as the #2 option opposite Julio Jones. It's just speculation, but there are some tangibly real comparisons you can make of their style of play. And you can go watch Carnell Tate highlights if you want to try and see it. Green was also deceptively fast . Wasn’t a burner but he could get deep. He’s a better prospect than Tate. Fitz had better body control than Tate. I think he almost won the Heisman one year. Love for me is the only one that jumps off the screen that way. Downs has that rep and does but his athleticism doesnt as much. I'll watch more of him though. I'm not exactluy down on him when I'm basically just saying he doesn't scream future hall of famer the way I want. But if he is that level of prospect as Fitz.. yeah.. go get him. I said the archtype of wide wr is similar. I was like 14 when he was drafted ao i wont pretend to know what he was like as a prospect other than he was highly regarded and went high . I watched a ton of those games. Here’s what I remember, he barely ran past people and got separation. He was bigger than most DB. He either leaped over the DB to make the catch or boxed him out and shielded them with his frame and caught the ball.

I would normally agree but he was stuck behind a whos who of elite college players. Iv seen the higgins comparison before and i dont really see it. Sure the nunbers are similar for their last year in college but again, tate catches the ball at a disguise rate compared to almost any prospect you can find numbers on. If its not top tier its right next to it. Green being deceptively fast also falls into the same vein as tate. Not a burner but one little fake and he has a step on the cb with them seldom recovering. Lantern
I would be okay with Tate if we traded down, and got significant capital. Otherwise it will feel like a major fumble with the EDGE guys and Love on the table.
