Game Thread: Week 3 Titans vs Colts

I always thought the bye week, +8 games into it was the best time to fire a coach in season. That said, the uniquely questionable in game coaching calls from Callahan are embarrassing ownership and becoming a distraction to the entire team. Without a multi game winning streak, the media will not let this go.

I could totally see it. But firing Callahan mid season almost certainly means firing Holz and his dad too. That's a lot of holes to try to fill in the middle of the season.

 

To me the right call is to play it out as long as they can. I don't see any reason to think the train wreck wouldn't continue (or God forbid get worse) after they fire him.

 

However, I think if/when the team quits on him you have to make a move...and hell...that could be tomorrow.

I thought this before this game but with the disjointed offensive flow, the inexplicable game management, the defense looking like they've quit and the in-stadium fan unrest I'm wondering if they can afford to let him coach out the season...

I think what we're all saying is let Callahan play out his deal and then with the 4 years of data make a rational decision on his future.  Extend a year or three if more data points are needed

I was at the game. The crowd was booing pretty heavy going into the half thanks to the moronic 4th down indecision and delay of game that led to the missed field goal. 
 

When they brought out Mike Keith for the ring of honor ceremony, Burt Nihil introduced him and got booed pretty savagely. I was able to see (a woman who I believe was) Amy Adams's face on the megatron and she looked really upset. This coaching staff is mediocre at best and the fan base showed the FO today how they felt about it. I'd estimate 50% of the already half empty stadium left at the start of the 4th quarter.

There were enough titans fans in the stadium to be audible? Truly shocking.

Not really. The titans were so outclassed and were beat in every phase with a much more talented roster.   I don't know what miracles you think coaching is going to do.
