Like many- once they started looking at him and not listening to pundits saying this was a bad qb draft -- the usual cynical group (Oman, oldshool, etc) all got surprisingly behind Cam. This has been the most aligned the board has been around a QB prospect I've ever seen tbh. In fact- I think this is the first time I can remember that Starkiller, oldschool, Oman, Reo and Nines all agree on something besides politics. A lot of us were early on Ward. People who watch college football and know what they are talking about were. I knew that Jake Locker was a 100% bust because I saw him play live twice. Cam is coming to a team that lost 14 games, but of the games they lost, 10 of them were lost by 10 or fewer points. 5 of them by a touchdown or less. Only 4 losses were blowouts. Not to diminish how bad the team was, but it just goes to show how thin the line is between winning and losing. And this was with the quality of QB play we had, a WR room with one guy and a bunch of "who's that guy?", and a swiss cheese OL. All this to say... yeah, it's a team sport, but unless you're predicting a Super Bowl you can't hardly overestimate the complete turn-around potential Cam is bringing to the table. The Titans could really shock tf out of some people this year. I'm pretty sure Cam is worth at least a couple touchdowns more per game as a baseline. scine09 Posted April 28, 2025 Report Share Posted April 28, 2025 Of every single thing that Ward has said, the thing that I liked the most, and I don't remember who he said it to, it may have been in the press conference Friday, was when he told someone that he thinks he's a better processor than is given credit for. Why do I like that? Because it show he understands what it is and the importance of it. I don't think every QB even understands how important that aspect is.
