Defends his report. He says he thought people would be split, but instead, he's talked to several people in the building, and the feeling is a relief. He said that the perceptions came from more than one person, that he had at least 4-5 sources, and that none of it came from Brinker. He was pretty adamant on the last part. Just thought I would share. I thought PK's discussion on Brinker's magic number of 7 impact playmakers that directly affect the outcome of games is a pretty clear signal that Brinker has a clearly defined roadmap in how he wants to build this team, and I would be willing to bet QB/EDGE/WR are the top 3 priorities on his list right now. Agreed 100%. I love the things he says and has said. I don't love the recent track record of the team or the roster construction from this past season. I'm hoping that he'll back up his words with the same conviction he expresses those thoughts and hires the right people who believe in the same vision. They were used to push the social agenda of the NFL and have been pushed aside. No one cares about the actual person on the other end of these stupid race based programs. They don’t work for anyone. I don’t see how this is not apparent to all. They were hired because of racism but they were fired because they were incompetent. Do you say things like this to provoke arguments? Every DEI won't succeed, just like not all GMs succeed. It's about creating equal opportunity. Without DEI they will never get the chance. The NFL has come a long way. First, only whites could play. Then blacks were allowed to play, but only certain positions. The last position blacks were allowed to play was QB. In 1968 Marlin Briscoe was the first black starting QB. Doug Williams was the first black QB to play in the SB, 1988. The first time two black starting QBs faced off in the SB was 2023. The NFL started in 1920. 103yrs for that game to happen and the race of the QBs wasn't the top billing promotion. DEI and other efforts to promote fairness and equality work to give all people an equal chance. Edited January 10, 2025 by Number9

Just trying to understand complicated situations that have a history of racism and whether that history is showing it's ass or not. I could easily see it but won't claim it without good data. Maybe others were, and did not feel comfortable running with it, or maybe they went to PK knowing that he would have no problem running with it, either way, it's weird to me, and it's just not a good look. Others alluded to the same things. Freeze said it was a terribly kept secret that Carthon wasn't in charge. Reising alluded to having heard things he wouldn't report on, etc. If you want to criticize Kuharsky for putting it out there and kicking the guy after he was already gone, I get that, but the reports do sound to be credible. titanskick8851, and Bongo59

I did not mean to come off as being critical of PK, and I was moreso alluding to the Carthon was lazy narrative that he reported on. PK seems to be the only one that was either fed that narrative, or he was the only one willing to run with it. Brinker alluded to some of it in his description of what they would be looking for in a replacement as well. I don't necessarily disagree with the idea that the media is stirring things up intentionally in order to gain attention and clicks etc. My only point is I don't think the reports would be out there, and I don't think PK would run it and defend it so adamantly if they weren't true. It is often used by people to do the opposite of anything George Orwell advocated in books like 1984. I most often see it used to support lies or delusion or oppressive speech. But that's not why I love this quote. I love this quote because it is, itself, a lie. It is a misattribution to George Orwell and there's no evidence that he actually said it. There's a beautiful irony to that. IsntLifeFunny, Mythos27, Atlas, and 1 other
