Jets are at the very far end of the trade back window. Id say the raidsrs at 6 are the floor. No way on earth we trade with the steelers unless they offer something ridiculous.

Im talking 3 firsts and 3 2nds.

I think the Browns aren’t trading up at all.  They will just take whomever the best available qb is at 2.

Giants are the one with the most motivation.

And fuck ESPN and the NFLN you pricks can't go to a commercial before the #1 pick.

Let us old-school football guys take a moment appreciate to the fact that the Titans earned the #1 overall pick the old-fashioned way.   Not by tanking or by trading up, but by simply being

I'd hate Hunter. The Titans best position is likely CB and you don't take a WR that high. If the Titans traded down to 3 and Carter went 2 I'd rather trade down again and maybe go for someone like Mem

There should be several veteran QBs available.  One of Carr, Smith, Cousins, Darnold will lilely be available.  You also have Drew Lock and Justin Fields as younger less experienced options.  Likely all of them would be a 2 yr stop gap options.

We all need understand this team is 2,  likely 3 yrs from being a playoff team again and we will be lucky to win 6 games next year.  You build up the team first then you get the QB.  You don't insert a young QB into a bad roster and expect to make it an exceptional team overnight.  Look at the Panthers and Giants...been terrible for 5 years because both teams reached for bad QB prospects.  The exception would be if the QB prospect were a Luck, Burrow, Manning level  prospect which none of these guys are.  The teams that have done best with young QBs build up a solid roster first then you add the young QB as the missing piece (Texans, Chiefs, Ravens are all recent examples)

It’s not unheard of for teams to have quick turnarounds in today’s nfl. The Texans went from worst to first just recently after taking stroud at #2 overall.

Having them be in the conversation helps. The Giants can't know if the Browns would actually pull the trigger. With Allar heading back to college it's setting up perfectly if we want to trade out. Huge demand and tiny supply.

The rest of these guys being ass outside of maybe Ward helps a lot.  Of course we might take him at #1.

Disagree, I could see the Giants signing a QB in FA, whereas I'm not sure the Browns can afford to.

CLE might feel desperate to get their guy at one and the willingness of the Titans to trade out to another team that'd select their guy right before them might not be worth the risk to hierarchy.

If they're honed in on Cam Ward then they'd be well off to ensure he wasn't selected right before their turn on the clock.

I don’t think there’s much if any room to eff around in this draft, and it is what it is.

If they trade to three, it’s bye bye QB.

Extra ammo from trading down this year doesn’t guarantee other teams will let you trade back up. It’s highly unlikely. This is cope.

McCarthy is more like a myth than anything else. Everything with him is alleged. I have no doubt he could manage a run based game in a way Vrabel would approve.

But it’s not like he physically developed. He tore an ACL, gets no reps, and is physically far away. It would be different if he played another year of good college ball and was now coming out, but this is a Bradford career start. I’ll stay far away, and no way should they give up  #1 overall or trade 1 for 30, even.

I think many around here also sense that even a perceived lower quality QB at the top is still maybe the best palette cleanser and good reason for hope going forward for this franchise and fan base.

It looks bad on paper, but it could also actually work out. I don’t want to give that rare chance up to another team - unless the Titans were dropping to 2 and the Browns weren’t taking Ward.

And yeah, it sucks but it’s where we’re at in my mind. Blame it on this awful QB free agency coming up.

I also just think OL/Edge/WR are deep enough to be addressed in rounds 2-4 and FA more effectively than QB.

Roll the dice. I think Ward can game and has better pocket awareness than Sanders or Levis.

This is the worst WR class in years.

I feel like despite it being thin at WR up top, or even OL for that matter, there’s still guys who would fit us.  And we sick at WR outside of Ridley. You could almost scrap the entire room. Boyd is gone, NWI had a great season for NWI, but he doesn’t put up consistent enough yardage to be a 2 or a 3. Burks is done and should be cut with Jackson.

So, I think they grab one somewhere in the draft along the way. I’d even consider Harold Fannin as a pass-catching TE.
