Ngyuen is a dullard?  Even in the complimentary piece, he says he's a step down from the elite prospects from last year (Caleb, Daniels, Maye).  The accuracy issues and some of the questionable decision making is why and also why they still are fishing for trade offers for the pick.

Hopefully he turns out to be great but the worst thing this retard fan base could do (and almost assuredly will do) is go over the top about him from the get go and spend the next 4 years excusing away everything if he turns out to be mid or worse.

Ngyuen?  No idea.  Didn't read it.

I think it's obvious at this point the Titans are taking Ward. I'm on board and think his ceiling is pretty high. Callahan gave an interview to A to Z after the season that was super revealing about t

I'm totally fine with the Titans drafting Ward. Enough people think he can be good and he's shown enough NFL traits. It would not be like the Titans overdrafting Anthony Richardson or Trey Lance.

McNair is his comp? How many see him as that?

No one has said that is his comp. Fans are just stupid as fuck. People have said he reminds them of McNair in a few very specific ways.

Body wise, yes .. Ward has a solid lower body. and uses his base to throw with power

McNair had a really powerful arm, and was a reactive thrower., he did not read defenses particularly well-. if he saw the receiver open he could throw it fast enough to complete the pass..

Ward has much better anticipatory throws, and reads defenses ( at least these  last 3 years) far better than McNair.. he doesn’t have quite the arm strength as McNair ..

When the line breaks down, he scrambles/buys time the same way McNair did - dodge, shrug defenders off etc.

It was just the popular narrative for a long time. I’ve been saying he would’ve been 4th the whole time.

I believe this is right, but if there had been a different team picking 3rd last year, I could see an org having him slightly edge out Maye if all things were equal.

If you go purely on college resume and all the QBs the previous 2 years and this year were combined and coming out this Draft... likely Caleb Williams is seen as the clear #1 - pretty much because he was hyped for 3 years so heavy. Ward is somewhere in the second group.

How they played in the pros changes how people see college guys now. There's a fear of ranking guys on a tier with a guy who was as successful in the pros as Daniels. But they also conveniently ignore the highly ranked failures. Like Young gets no respect now, but coming out that class likely is similar to this one. His height was an issue but he was seen as a cant miss player that just needed to overcome  his height.

Now that they played a year, of course Daniels is now seen as obviously better. Truth is we wont know for a few years. RG3 was a highly ranked stud who had an incredible first season (possibly better than Daniels) But no one wants to say that.

I think Ward is a way better prospect than Bryce Young. I liked Stroud a lot though so idk if I like Ward more than him. It’s probably pretty close.

This is roughly where I’m at but I think I prefer Ward as a prospect over Stroud.  However, that may have a ton to do with knowing we can guaranteed take him if we want him whereas obviously that wasn’t the case with Stroud, so that probably skews the bias a bit.

The point I'm trying to make is that it's a lot closer than some media analysts are playing it out to be. If the point of analysts is to find the truth, changing your data based on perception is weak.

I would think that Bryce was lower too but we saw where he was drafted so pre-draft, he was up there.
