All I know is that after a good practice, the coach would often take all the players to the Burrito Shack in Austin, and as they entered, the coach would say, "everyone get all you can eat" met with all the players cheering, but the head waitress would clear her throat to get the coach's attention as she shook her head, and the coach, then remembering , would walk over to Sweat to whisper, "just get what everyone else gets please."

The biggest bright spot last night was Sweat's play.    6 tackles, 2 more loss and constantly disrupting the Miami blocking schemes. He did this without Simmons as well. He played 78% of the

Titans HAD to upgrade their Dline. Newton, Fiske, and Jenkins were all guys who played the same role as Simmons. I like those guys but I've told people all offseason that the Titans weren't going to d

As long as they can keep Sweat away from Davenport he's got a chance!

I envision a d-line with Simmons and Sweat looking like the Packers elite DL in 1996.

Sweat, Landry, Simmons, and Key/signee vs. Jones, White, Gilbert, Santana.

I think this is realistic. I have always wanted to see a real hog moly next to Jeff who could eat up blcoks. We will see what happens.  I have wanted us to take a legit NT like the Ravens have done for years. Tart when"on" made Jeff better, Sweat is a better Tart. Now that it has happened many of you are complaining. Let's see.

I don’t remember who said it but Bohanna is 330 Coburn is 330 and Sweat is 360 they’re is a strong possibility we are gonna rotate guys a lot more in this defense and it makes sense. If this is an attacking defense like our DC says it will be you need guys to be fresh to stay on the attack.

Why exactly does he play at 360 lbs?  He's got value other than his enormous size, which seems to be excessive and negatively impact his motor.  Losing weight, adding endurance/agility and ultimately being able to play more snaps seems like a worthy trade-off for being a more effective run-block eater.

He has to decide between doing that or ordering a Jimmy John's J.J. Gargantuan, half a dozen cookies and unsweet tea because he is cutting back.

The fact that the guy gained 115 lbs in the short time he was at Texas tells me he should have no trouble dropping weight. Can you imagine how much you have to eat while practicing football to gain that kind of weight in that short amount of time. Unless he had some sort of thyroid issue, I would have to think he rarely did alot of cardio. I know it's hard to think of a football player rarely doing cardio, but it's also hard to believe a 250lb man goes to 366 in 5 years while playing a sport that requires you to workout constantly. Once they get him on a strict diet and workout regimen, he might lose too much weight.

Of course he can lose the weight the real question is whether he is dedicated enough to actually do it.

I think Sweat has plenty of dog in him. I think he wants to play hard every snap. He just can't because there is just too much of him and fatigue makes cowards of us all. He's got a cardio issue that isn't theoretical; the game I posted is proof it already exists. I hope we know exactly what we're doing here.

This is why I don't think he'll play in known passing situations.

The key with Sweat is going to be getting him a snap count where you can get the utmost from him. That is likely 35-45 snaps.

You want him destroying blocking schemes next to Simmons in base sets where teams try and run and try to use playaction to hit deep shots. You can play light boxes against the run with him and Simmons and guard against the long ball.

Rushing the passer gasses DL more than anything. His pass rush snaps need to be from the base defense when they are playing run first.

Get him in condition and find the optimal snap count and let him be dominant for those reps.

Not what I'm saying. I'm saying he likely has to fight to keep that much weight on. Most people that are that big usually get that way over a longer period of time by eating terrible and living a sedimentary life (or some health issue). Texas likely wanted him that size and he likely had to eat like crazy to stay there.

No team is encouraging a player to get up to 390lbs as Sweat did at one stage.
