The biggest bright spot last night was Sweat's play.    6 tackles, 2 more loss and constantly disrupting the Miami blocking schemes. He did this without Simmons as well. He played 78% of the

Titans HAD to upgrade their Dline. Newton, Fiske, and Jenkins were all guys who played the same role as Simmons. I like those guys but I've told people all offseason that the Titans weren't going to d

As long as they can keep Sweat away from Davenport he's got a chance!

Sweat is clearly not in great shape and has a huge body fat % number.

In an NFL weight room he can lose body fat and get even stronger and possibly be dominant and improve his stamina

Rexrode/Reising/PK did a post draft podcast from the Titans facility yesterday and I think it was PK who said he had been trying to track down the body fat % for Sweat and the two numbers he was told were obscenely high.

The idea they don't want him in on pass rushing situations is hilarious and wrong. They obviously do not see him as a 2 down player. It doesn't mean he won't be rotated to stay fresh, but let's go ahead and go down the line of other players you want on this roster in over him on 3rd down.

Another swing and miss coming from the group who said he wasn't even draftable.

And obviously he's on a snap count...that is wholly different than saying he was drafted to be a 2 down player and isn't in on 3rd downs lol. He obviously is viewed as a pass rusher at the 1 tech. They're correct, and per usual lately you are not.

Not really multiple reputable draft media said they had been told plenty of teams had taken Sweat off their draft board.

So not wrong that the team wouldn't draft him at all, even as a late round pick, and then we took him at 38? Sure.

Of course there was a few of us here that were wrong (myself included), with Carthon/Callahan spewing character first all offseason it wasn't unreasonable to come to the conclusion they wouldn't draft him let alone at pick 38.

It's okay that you don't like the picks. You didn't browbeat people when it was noted he was a round 2 talent with upside. You made your statement and sat on it. ctm did not.

The mistake that people made when determining we would never draft Sweat was that that they actually listened to what the decision-makers said during interviews before the draft. If a team preaches character first, it is logical to conclude they wouldn't draft a guy that just got a DUI. The reality however, is that you can't take these guys' words seriously. They worry about the talent first and then "get comfortable" with the character flaws after.
