I wonder how feasible it would be to retain Bowen as OLBs/Run Game Coordinator if he doesn’t land the Giants DC gig. I know he has young kids in school in Nashville, may not be the worst option for him if he retains the same pay grade.

Brandon Staley hasn’t landed a DC job yet either as of now and could be an option for that role.

Is Staley still getting paid by Spanos? Also, is Bowen still getting paid by Strunk if he’s fired?

Turns out it's easier to hire quality assistants if you're not a control freak dickhead.

Callahan just said Wilson will have complete control and autonomy over the defense.

“For example, Raiders vice president of football operations Tom Jones is “responsible for logistics and operations for the football department,” according to the team website. He handles travel and other administrative responsibilities but isn’t involved in personnel decisions.”

Maybe a new Brinker lieutenant.

Wonder if Callahan and Co. could seduce some of the better position coaches out of college football.

Who would be among the best?
Ohio State WR Coach Brian Hartline (Off Coord in waiting)

Alabama WR Coach Holmon Wiggins

Washington WR Coach Jamarcus Shephard

LSU QB Coach Joe Sloan

Texas RB Coach Tashard Choice

Anyone know anyone else?

Would like to see some young up and coming guys join the defensive side to start a pipeline like the Ravens just did.
