scine09
I think this is a fair question. What do you need to see from Tannehill in these games to convince yourself that he's worthy of a contract and they can focus on other positions early? And the answer of it doesn't matter, they need a new QB regardless even if Tannehill absolutely lights it up is okay too.
Popular Post oldschool
He would have to be downright awesome the last 10 games and play like a top 10 QB. That isn't going to happen. In reality he's auditioning to be the bridge starter next year if the rookie isn't ready to go in 2020. SirLanceALot
You take one no matter what Tannehill does. As long as you’re in a position to take one and not reach just to reach. Can always extend Tannehill for another year and let the new QB learn for a bit. Doogie, and Stranger

SirLanceALot
Our “future” was just benched yesterday. It’s obvious they need to find their new one. Former_Fan
SirLanceALot
I have faith in JRob to find the right guy. What I don’t have faith in is the coaching staff to maximize their talent once they get here. japan
Nothing. They must draft a high QB next draft.
headhunter
I think Robinson is gonna draft a QB within the first two rounds regardless. JMoney420, tgo, and AussieTitanFan08

Yeah, he'd need to come out and play like a top 10 QB over the final 10 games. Most importantly, we'd need to finish by winning like 7 or 8 of the last 10 with him driving the team's success instead of riding on it.

Former_Fan
Tannehill needs to step up and be a leader of this team. He needs to take command of the offense and not be a liability. While he clearly was the better passer last week we still didn't score. I hope Smith and Vrabel can come up with a better game plan, because last weeks was shit, and this may be another big piece of this broken offense. The schedule down the stretch is brutal which is why I'm even more pissed Vrabel stuck with Mariota for 6 games. It likely killed the season. Ricky
He needs to make plays. Yes we probably draft a QB high but he needs to make plays to be resigned and let the rookie learn. Hard to come in as a rookie and do well. However we do have weapons on offense and a top notch defense so that’s a big plus.
