I'm a lot less concerned about the starting o-line after seeing Schlottman and Carmona play.. we look a lot better, including Latham.. I am concerned about depth, especially Left tackle/ swing tackle but maybe that gets sorted out soon..

I am more than concerned about Cam, to be honest. I hope, pray he is "The Man" here. But I have little to think he is. I really think we are drafting another QB 1 next season. Hope I am wrong. I just want us to win.

7 series for the offense then!

JFC, it’s the first half of a preseason game for a second year guy learning a new offense.  This is why checking this thread is a bad idea.

Based on what I saw, I have confidence that the offense will have a strong rushing attack.  The biggest question is whether or not we have a RB who can take advantage of it - Pollard lost a step and Spears' vision is ass, they just had gaping holes to run through.

its fucking Preseason. Teams aren't game planning or showing their actual schemes. They literally go through the motions to get it over with. There are few things less telling than preseason drives for Starters. The overreaction here is exactly why I don't want preseason. Go outside, bang your girlfriend/wife, finish that summer DIY list, and countdown the days till opening day when the games matter.

I get that but you couldn’t watch that game and not be at least a little bit concerned.

I didn't watch but if I had, I wouldn't give two shits about what happened on the field good or bad.

The only concerning thing is him running backwards in a clean pocket TWICE and creating sacks which otherwise never would have happened.  How do you coach such stupidity out of someone?

Jeremiyah Love was plan A I'm still convinced

Yeah I feel like whichever was left of Love/Bailey and then targeting Stribling in the second was probably plan A.

They were linked to Stribling and Cam had played with him before.

Well... let's see how PSG2 goes. Tate might move into that plan A discussion with a strong showing.

Hopefully they open up the passing game.  Tate will shine once they get him going down field, not on short, gay screens.

#4 is high but I can't argue against a guy who will get 15+ touches per game and is a threat to score on any one of them.

It feels like unless Singleton breaks out, there will be a lot of yards and plays left on the field.

Ideally, your QB comes in and hits it off immediately. Some guys struggle early, take a few years to adjust and become good. Some guys never put it together.

At this point he's not looking like option 1. Of course there's still hope he's option 2, and this year will tell a lot. But we - or at least I - have seen it enough times at this point to put blinders or Homer shades on. To see the other teams no name QB come in and appear more competent sucks and it isn't a good look. Guys get drafted for elite traits all the time, but the Kirk Cousins who do the play in play out execution make a lot of money in this league.

Someone up the thread said accuracy will never be Cam's strong suit. I hope to God that isn't the case because you can't make it in this league without that. An occasional Mahomes type throw means nothing without play to play accuracy and decisiveness.

Steve took time to put it all together and he came out great. Cam reminds me of Steve. Unfortunately there's not that level of patience in this league anymore. I definitely don't want to see him go elsewhere and become another Darnold or Mayfield. What matters is seeing improvement this year.

PSG mean very little.  It is best to see how rookies look.  Right now the development with Carmona, Singleton, and Faulk should be making everyone happy.  The Cam stuff to me is a nothing burger.
