I was pretty shocked last season when the OL looked so good. They lost like 3 starters the previous off-season and I fully expected them to struggle a ton. In recent years, Jackson has been prime Aaron Rodgers with elite athleticism in terms of production/efficiency. It's underplayed how much he helps the defense as well by keeping them off the field with his unprecedented dual threat ability and digging other teams into a hole. They and the OL clearly are not very good, yet he's helped both perform at a very high level. Lamar’s ability is fairly unique, but I’d also argue that no offense in the modern NFL has committed themselves to the dual threat quarterback and power run offense as much as Baltimore has. They have been the unicorn team for a decade. It’s remarkable considering the prevailing NFL mindset of the QB winning from the pocket. If Michael Vick had this kind of offense back in the day, for this long into his career, his legacy would be god tier, I’m guessing. He’s a vet, we’re going nowhere, and quite a few teams need an adult at RB (Arizona/LAC/Dallas/KC). Also spears, chestnut, and mullings are all good enough to get similar production. Agree with the sentiment, but absent an almost standout return to form for Tajae -- who already has a dubious reliability history -- this would put a huge extra burden on Cam to carry the offense on all downs. Pollard's recent fumbling has been crappy, but he has been explosive and likely the most consistent skill player through 5 games.
