Gotta trust the scouts on this one. High upside player who fits their size profile available at pick 52. I'll be interested who they take at 82 now. It says a lot about their priorities for this draft that they took this kid over Mike Green... either that or Green's stuff is legit and many teams simply took him off their board completely.

#20 on many boards and he sat and sat and sat. Green went to a team that could take a flyer. Tennessee CANT afford to have Mike Green flop out. 

 

If Femi comes in and is a solid contributor and underperforms as a second round pick it isn't the end of the world. We need solid players. This roster is depleted. We can't be looking at drafts years later looking at, we'll there is Chig and Treylon on his way out.

Maybe two to three years from now, they’d be willing to take someone like Green after establishing a culture. It’s clear they are trying to get high character guys and leaders which is kind of the opposite of what Green is billed as.

FWIW Zierlein said a lot of teams really liked him and are probably sad he didnt make it further back

Also Robert Mays (who is definitely tight with Callahan I think) said when he talked to the titans at the combine they told him edge was the main thing they were targeting in the second round. Which also adds up with what Freeze said when someone in the building was confused why Titans fans were so obsessed with WR at 35,

Titans Radio said they suspected that the Titans might have liked Jayden Higgens, and when he was drafted ahead of them, they made the move. 

 

Not sure I believe, I think this team wanted to trade back.

Titans fans are just in general obsessed with WR's every year at the draft.

 

There was a reason we signed Lockett before the draft. Mainly because we needed a dependable route runner. But also, I do think there was a little PR to the move.

Oladejo was on my list of my guys from all the way back at the Senior Bowl just thought with his rawness as a pass rusher he might of gone a little later than pick #52.
