I was thinking George Costanza with hair

And George worked in the Yankees front office. Coincidence? I think not!

Think Constanzas tenure with NYY best resembles Rans run.

There was a little brilliance in that run!

Still use this towards the end of the day on Fridays when I don't want to get stuck with some stupid BS!!

Unfortunately from what's surfaced so far was Ran more then likely used another strategy...

BREAKING: The #Titans are hiring #Chiefs assistant GM Mike Borgonzi as their new general manager, multiple sources tell  NFLonFOX.  Borgonzi has spent 16 years in Kansas City, playing a key role along

Was the single strongest overall GM candidate out there, imo.   I'm glad they didn't pigeonhole themselves into a college-scouting-guy-only for the position.   First time I remembe

LOL @ the retards who were upset they shit canned Sleepy Ran

These front office guys all look the same to me though the board consensus had me feeling pretty good about all the guys landing interviews.

This franchise has needed stability for way to long.  Hopefully this power structure and do that and give us all something worth watching again.

The Chiefs have the best IOL in the NFL if anything they have been really poor trying to fix their OT position through the draft.

I'm not saying the Titans are going to get into a bidding war for Trey Smith what I'm saying is it is pretty clear how much the Chiefs value the IOL.

It's smart because if you have a QB with elite awareness and scrambling ability, who gives af about a tackle? Just make a new pocket. Interior fucks the run game and splits your line

💯 Between Carthon saying his job was to simply get players the coach wanted and not being able to say what his vision was a year into the job, it was pretty obvious he was not qualified to be an NFL GM.  I don't think any of us knew much about his work ethic or lack thereof but pretty clear the folks crying about how Ran got shafted look like complete morons.

The current setup is seemingly a massive upgrade in terms of responsibilities and accountability.  Hopefully they fix it and the vision results in the desired outcome.

was very obvious to anyone who's not a half wit race baiter that he was overhired

This is pretty awesome—Brett Veach and Mike Borgonzi started working together 12 seasons ago, got promoted to co-directors of player personnel together, and have been KC's 1-2 for the last 8 seasons (8 AFC West titles, 4 AFC titles, 3 Super Bowl titles).

I also think the current setup was probably a selling point. These lifelong scouts or player personnel guys don’t want to be dealing with all the minutia that Brinker will be handling. All these guys want to do is put together a badass roster of players and coaches, and this is an opportunity to do just that. Sure Brinker has final say so but I doubt he’ll be overruling his GM that he just handpicked on a regular basis.

I’m so bored - let’s try a little mock offseason.

FA: LB Nick Bolton, RG Trey Smith, T Jedrick Willis, and S Andre Sisko.

- Bolton and Smith the Kc connection, with Smith having played at TN, plus the need at the positions. It makes too much sense. Willis thrived under Bill Callahan and can be a nice bounce back T signing and he’s still young.

Draft

1. QB Cam Ward

2. WR Matthew Golden

4. TE Mason Taylor or TE Elijah Arroyo

4. Edge

4. (assuming KC wins it all) - WR again or Edge again
