The crying over the team firing a bad GM has been hilarious.

2 candidates have elite QB’s:

Borgonzi

Gray

2 Candidates have very good QB’s:

JES

Spytek

1 Candidate has a questionable QB:

Cunningham

1 Candidate has a QB on the Levis Level:

Dodds

I like Cunningham, but I would have to ask him how they chose Williams over Daniels.

At least they had the sense to trade Fields I guess.

Daniels and Williams stats are similar.  Careers aren’t defined after one year.  Let’s not act like one is a star and the other is a bust after 1 year.  The Bears had to fire their head coach and OC.  Perhaps they were a part of the problem.

Daniels did score 11 more TDs than Williams when you count his running ,  that’s quite a bit of difference. Williams does  look like he will be good though,

The stats may be similar but Daniels looks far ahead of Williams in the eye test of QB play.  In addition, too many people gloss over the sack issue with Williams.  Not only does he create too much of his own pressure, the negative plays on sacks that he is at fault for is pretty bad and sinks offenses.

Sometimes Williams acts like he hasn’t seen a blitz at all.  Plus the times that the thing is blocked up pretty good , he just airmails or misses the throws.  There were a lot of warning flags, just on a brief watch of a few games.

They are 19 candidates for that Bears job which is interesting.

The Bears have no fucking idea what they are doing.   Warren and Poles seem to me to be trying to save their jobs and have a controllable HC.

I absolutely wonder if some of this stuff is being talked about with Cunningham today because Baltimore/Philly are run way better than Chicago.  In fairness, they hired Warren after Poles got there.
