The crying over the team firing a bad GM has been hilarious.

I’ll add before we know for sure, there isn’t one name on this list that I would be unhappy with which is a testament to the work Brinker put in.

But the more I’ve researched, I do hope Borgonzi wins.

Just curious, is it mainly the ties to KC, or did something pop out at you with Borgonzi?

It’s honestly KC based in ways with a caveat. He was there when they were not good and was part of the contingent that has made them a perennial championship contender. He also knows the importance of QB and was part of the group that drafted the best one in the league.

KC also drafts and develops talent and somehow knows when to let the right players walk.

I think I go Borgonzi, Cunningham, JES. But any of those 3 are a home run in my opinion. I leave Spytek off only because I just don’t see him not getting the LV job with the Brady ties

Russini also has lost some credibility on her Titans reporting since both Vrabel left and she left ESPN when there were more checks and balances in place.

She lost credibility when Vrabel was still here...

I'm not sure the Rams weren't targeting Sweat.  They also loved Murphy in round 1 and were trying to get ahead of Seattle for him.

That said, not sure Fiske or Sweat would have been at 52 (where the Titans would have been picking)

The Rams approach is the exact opposite of the draft nerds who claim picks trump all and you should have as many picks as possible to get guys. They value quality over quantity if forced to choose. Sneed has been quoted saying its not about how many picks you have, its about who you select.

Sure it's always the quality of the pick that matters most and obviously things like scheme fit, player personality fit, etc.

They’ve also noted they had somewhat of an advantage where they only had to scout the later round guys since they weren’t in contention for any blue chippers or even 1st round grade guys 4/5 of the last years. They probably committed a lot more resources to guys like Puka or Kyren than most other teams did (both 5th rounders).

The symbiotic relationship between the personnel side and coaching side is so critical.  The Rams have done a great job of filling needs with scheme fits who are also developed by the coaches.

I also think they were smart at times for trading low #1's for established blue chippers as opposed to drafting a lesser player.  Ramsey comes to mind.

Idc about any of this anymore. David Lynch just died 😭

Can’t say it was a total surprise.  He was basically confined to his home because years of smoking had racked his lungs.

I guess I’ll probably rewatch Mullholand Drive or Blue Velvet.
