I have issues with Ward's decision-making at times but I haven't really studied him enough yet. Elite arm talent, incredible pocket presence, scans the field well, strong leader, and an overall game changer. Makes some head scratching decisions, but overall improved at Miami by taking his check downs more often. WG53

As we've learned from Levis though, the propensity for making those head-scratching plays doesn't typically go away at the NFL level. If anything it gets worse. I'd still be OK taking the shot because sometimes guys turn out better than you thought but the red flag is there. OILERMAN

Incredible pocket presence from a guy who runs around in circles in the backfield and drifts 15 yards diagonally only to throw the ball across the field. I don’t know how anyone could be dissatisfied with how little Will Levis values possessing the ball and holds on to the ball forever and could think Ward is the answer. SuperFreak90
If you're picking at number two, you're taking a QB. tgo, luvyablue256, Starkiller, and 1 other

I think that not picking one, with Levis as your only other option is begging to get fired. Could you imagine looking exactly the same next year say around week 6 and the owner asks Ran why he didn't take a QB? You almost have to just too have a shot at keeping your job. No one survives another year of this. VanCityTitan

It's certainly possible but that's only if the QB shows absolutely nothing in 2025. As the GM, you certainly take the chance that QB pans out over the almost guarantee that Levis sinks you again no? Amy strikes me as the type that would let the regime slide after having picked a new young QB. Edited December 29, 2024 by Mythos27

ctm
Even if the Titans decide to draft a QB @ #2, that doesn't mean they will view him as ready to start or want him to start on opening day. It would still be likely, imo, that they sign someone in free agency to start until the draftee is ready.

When you throw 5-6 TDs for every head scratching INT you throw, it hurts a lot less. Levis had 1 good throw for like every 5 embarrassing moments of his. I see that logic long-term but as a GM you're unlikely to see the fruits of those picks unless they turn into instant difference-makers at positions impactful enough to overcome Levis. I don't think you can over-come Levis.
