Btw -

Probably much more likely now that Tannehill is gone sooner than later.

In all seriousness... Not just him.

Do any of us really know if our philosophy is Vrabels philosophy or Robinsons.???

Vrabel gaining more personnel control is not a good thing - regardless of who the new GM is - I promise you that.

Vrabel's comment "who is he going to throw it to?" about the receivers/Malik is a little more cryptic now.    I loved Jrob, but I love AAS more. She ain't fucking around. Ya love to see it.

JRob never replaced any of the talent that we lost that made those 2019/2020 teams so great. Reynolds/Julio did not replace Davis. No TE replaced Jonnu. No one replaced the OL talent. No one replaced AJ Brown. Just a series of missteps that resulted in going from one of the best offenses to one of the worst again.

The problem here as mentioned before were the misses as well in FA.  Which forced him to play catch up in roster buliding in 2020-2022.  Fix the defensive one year, offense generally gets ignored and vice versa.

I always thought that Robinson was in charge and everything the Titans did was because of Robinson.

I think Vrabel's philosophy is take the players and win. It's too early to tell if he has a real philosophy. He says run the ball, take advantage of opps to pass, and don't turn it over. That's about as vanilla as it gets.

If Vrabel can win like this with these players, imagine what he could do with a Mahomes/Josh Allen/Burrow?

I don't believe that shit. If Vrabel was coaching with a GM's philosophy on Sundays then what would it say about him as a coach?

That being said, it's possible his philosophy is/was being hamstrung by the players he was given to work with. You can't really expect to taste filet mignon when you're given a 3 dollar sirloin steak to grill. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's damn near impossible for a team to find a starting LT and a starting QB in one off season, especially when the team is over the cap and has other holes to deal with.

RT will be here for the 2023 season.  But if I were betting, I'd say they won't start negotiations till mid-season, assuming the new GM wants to keep him,  Very possible that a new GM wants his guy in the 2024 draft.  Finding a LT and Simmons contract will be the offseason priorities

How many pieces could we realistically look to see replaced on the OL? Because we need more than just an LT.

The idea that Vrabel is a coaching guru working with bad talent is a false narrative. The offense was good in 2019-20 bc the players were better. The defense is good now when it was trash before is because the players are better now than before.

Robinson had misses but he had plenty of hits, all the hits that made this a successful team. He literally assembled the entire roster of players.

The idea he would have been retained if he had re-signed his first rounders is also questionable. Of course it'd be nice to retain your talent, but that's the challenge of playing with a salary cap and being a perennial contender. Signing Corey Davis, Jonnu Smith, Jack Conklin, Adoree Jackson would have come at the cost of needed players on the current roster.

Robinson made mistakes, but the dismissal of the good he accomplished and the very real challenges/decisions he faced being so summarily dismissed is pretty astonishing even for this board.

I hope to hell the team improves, but the feelings of good riddance are premature IMO.

Go Titans.
