  1. Past hour
  2. Trump admitting that Republicans have the power to end the shutdown if they wanted to.
  3. Not really- I think the reflex fans have to fire ppl to solve problems is all wrong. BC is a manager of men. If he is failing- (he was) - then its a testament of his management skills and staff created around him. Firing him did nothing but add instability to this year. I think the org - which looked like it turned a page on how its run- showed its true colors. They need to make strategic decision and hold them through bad times until well reasoned strategic redirections. If there was even a chance he'd be fired midseason- he should have been fired (and his staff) before the season started. This season was always going to be bad. Rookie qb, poor talent, hard schedule. Results of this season should not matter. This simply showed they cannot (Amy cannot) hold decisions through bad times. Stability and well run organizations are important. And this org has none of that - as many fans cheer them on. I decry the constant pitch fork behavior of fans and org instability. Really the specific decision on BC or not BC -- i have a lot less hard opinions on that. I liked the guy but ... that's not a reason to keep or fire anyone. It doesn't' give me any heartburn.
  4. So basically the Dems cave and give Republicans what they want or the Republicans will brute force it and own it and get what they want. End result is the Dems get some blame or it's all on Republicans. If it's going to happen either way.... make them do it.
  5. The #Dolphins and GM Chris Grier have mutually parted ways, per sources.
  6. Never really checked much of Reddit out yet. Mainly just the Titans section and also the Grow Buddy section, where they talk about growing the big buds.
  7. lol I tagged you because a Tight End named Charlie Kolar caught a TD pass from Lamar last night.
  8. I should probably start a separate topic for it but I kind of don't give a shit so ... here's a fun video on game theory and why offenses don't pass the ball 100% of the time and why defenses play a run defense even though stopping the run is less vital / advantageous (yards-wise) than stopping the pass. In other words, it uses math to show how and why running does set up the pass ... just not necessarily in the way that people tend to discuss it. If you've ever really thought it through, you might already be aware of this but I certainly don't get the impression from reading this forum that most people have actually thought it through ... or are capable of independently thinking it through without assistance like this video. And, yes, it's only 20 to 30 minutes long so it's only going to present a certain level of detail, especially because it's clearly tailored to having to educate people who know nothing about math or stats or ... anything. But it's a start and establishes the concept rather securely. Also, as is said in the video, not every play situation is the same and not every player is the same and not every team is the same and there's a million variables which render decisions far more complex than this surface-level assessment. Blah blah blah, just shut up and watch the video.
  9. @tgo @oldschool Sounds like arguing a competitive rebuild or accelerated rebuild!
  10. The dad flashbacks are Patrick Warburton.
  11. he's likely already one of the major bot / troll army contributors to Reddit. That site has gotten massively worse in the last year or 2.
  12. Today
  13. To what do I owe this unexpected visit? Is this about my being right about all those horrible J-Rob trades-up...
  14. You and I are both "bottom five posters" according to him. Lots of pressure on him not to lose to a "bottom five poster."
  15. This reminds me - While reading the book, I played Ballroom Blitz on my phone during that scene in the book. It was pretty damn fun. Serendipitously, my wife started singing Christmas music while I was reading the section with the party.
  16. I hat this line of thinking and completely disagree. Just because we aren't a contender now does not mean we shouldnt sign our own players to build the team. In 2-3 years we could absolutely be contenders and he would still be under contract. We would also be much more likely to be contenders if we retained our guys. You don't just sign guys if you are contending
  17. I'm on the last third of book 6. Did he voice "Alpha" ?
  18. They seemed to have won last week with Lamar out and Henry with good stats.
  19. I was on the sidelines for this one.
  20. I got a Pollard with your name on it Andy Reid!!!
  21. The Skins won the division the year before, but Fisher put the 8-8 curse on the Skins after that game! Skins ended up going 8-8 that year, finishing 3rd in their division. A few weeks after that game, Norv Turner got fired in December and Robiscuit was the interim head coach (he went 1-2). lol Deion Sanders was also a CB on the Skins that year. What a clusterfuck... Signed, scine09
  22. Nothing I posted can be refuted I said he’d be a spare without Lamar, he was I said his production would go up once Lamar returned, it did
  23. Prag still thinking we didn't give Callahan enough time...
