And you’re taking physical measurables and coming to a silly conclusion. The stats say you’re wrong. If he was as small/weak/whatever else you want to incorrectly interpret, his contested catch rate would be lower. Don’t bother responding. No one’s mind is being changed. Nash
Hank Beatty got a $215k bonus to sign as a UDFA with the Titans.. he also plays special teams as a punt returner.. which leads me to speculate that he just might be the 6th receiver.. If Dike is going to get an expanded role as a Z receiver this year (to replace Ridley?), Beatty may fill the need for a solid punt returner.. Thats less than Restrepo got last year and he;s got like a 2 million contract now. I'm not fighting for the kid to be on the team, just that there's guys getting paid more already on the team fighting for the same spots. Count me out - way, definitively, decidedly out - on letting someone replace Dike as returner. japan, Blackjack, SleepingTitan, and 1 other

Oliver is a physical specimen at 6-1 215lbs with very good speed. That's ideal for a gunner and playing coverage units. As for citing his regular season stats, we're not talking about a guy trying to start. We're talking about a back-up WR who's going to play STs. And Oliver has played with the 1s in camp and preseason and looked capable of being a solid back-up. He also only makes 100k more than guys like Beatty and ReSloMo. The Titans have the most cap space in the league, it's not a factor. The one thing I'll say is he better stay healthy in camp. If he can't stay healthy again they can't rely on him. Cap room certainly isn't an issue for the Titans but the damn 49ers took over that mantle this week after they re-did Trent Williams contract. They have $67 million in effective cap room $16 million more than the Titans. Supernope, and OILERMAN 1

I didn't realize he was that big. I guess I was just confused as to why the guy was considered so valued when he has barely been on the field in two seasons. Yeah if he can be great on STs and have some promise as a WR, then by all means. But I worry about the injuries for a guy so young, and the fact we are still wondering what we have in season 3. I do agree with you if he gets injured in camp he's a cut. DCTitan, and OILERMAN
