Since 2018 Daboll's teams have always carried 6 receivers, with the exception of his first year as HC for the Giants in 2022 when they kept 7.

ok I'm just saying we're talking about who is kept after Ayo, not in place of him. And it's still not guaranteed we keep a 6th WR if they like that Kanak guy or some other TE or DB with more promise that can help on STs.

Someone said Montgomery runs like Jack Sparrow and I can't unsee it now

So it begins...

Saleh had to deal with NY media. PK isn't going to bother him. No prep needed.

Borgonzi had 1 year to bring in talent.  Inevitability, some of Ran’s players would make the roster.  Borgonzi has now brought in Tate, Robinson, Dike, Ayomanor, Lance McCutheon, KJ Osborn, Tyren Montgomery, along with holdover Calvin Ridley.  Oliver is competing more with Montgomery than Ayomanor.

The first part is very true. Have no idea what you're talking about with the second part. By X do you mean Restepro? If so that is not only ridiculously untrue (never seen an UDFA with more hard core fanboys) and it contradicts the first part. We love the underdog, but unfairly hated Restrepo?

We had people on here saying he wasn't worth a practice squad spot from the day he signed. Then once the team was terrible and in desperate need of anything at wr half the board said he wasn't even worth elevating to even see if he could be an upgrade over the garbage we had out there.

As for restrepo's fans. Quite a few of us had no dog in the fight till him just being allowed to suit up for a game was a crime against humanity.

We had a multiple hundreads of page thread where the defense of restrpo was literally, why not give him a shot?

An undersized 4.8 WR who the coaches had so little faith in that they elevated Kinsey over him? Gee, I can't imagine why people were skeptical (and clearly right) about him.

Because there's never been a successful NFL receiver under 6', obviously.

I think it was ILF who said he went back and watched tape of Tate after we picked him and he was kinda surprised by what he saw. It actually improved his opinion of the pick.

I get the feeling that people who are so hung up on Restrepo's 10/20/40 time haven't watched even a minute's worth of his stuff at Miami.

Coaches who have all since been fired by the guy who brought Restrepo back for another shot. Again, why would he do that? What's the point if he's not even as good as Kinsey/Proche/etc?

Skepticism? There's been no room for skepticism. There has only been definitive dismissal of a guy who at his peak would only be a depth chart piece and an appeal to an authority that no longer even exists within the team.

You think it's ridiculous the defense Restrepo has gotten from me and others? Possibly, but it's only surpassed by the ridiculousness of the criticism he's gotten.

Kinsey was ahead of him based largely on experience (both at WR and special teams).

Restrepo passed him by during the season prior to getting injured. When he was forced into action, Restrepo did produce.

Hell, if anything they should have played Restrepo sooner. Not because he was worth starting, but he still looked better than Lockett…

ReStepSlo played 2 STs snaps all year

Not sure that's accurate but of course it's low as he didn't start playing them until the end of the season after he got reps at Wr.

We were.. but once they realized Oliver over Ayo was dumb, they switched to Oliver over Restrepo

Yes, Oliver made the 53 and was made active. Yes, XR was buried on the practice squad depth chart and was passsd over by those other slot guys.

Can't argue with that. Now tell me how many of the 1-16 coaches who made those decisions last year are still employed by the Titans and why we should trust their decision making re: Restrepo. I can name one, Bones. But he only had say on which guys played special teams.

Restrepo's reality is that he will still have to play special teams, and if he can't do that he's right back on the bubble. But his skill as a receiver still puts him into the conversation at the back of the depth chart. Know how I know that? Because he didn't play special teams last year and they still decided to bring him back this year. They didn't have to do that. They shouldn't have done that if he's as much of a back of the practice squad scrub as you and the Callahan crew say he is. Wtf is Borgonzi thinking?

He's thinking that it doesn't cost the team a dime to keep him on the 90 person squad for the time being.

Get what you pay for, right? Seems the benefit would be negligible.

Undersized? Hes like 5'9 200 something pounds. We are in the age of 5'7 160 pound wrs.

Size matters and it's dumb to pretend like it doesn't factor. Speed matters - maybe not as much for a guy who runs a 4.3 vs a 4.5 but a 4.8.... bruh that's slow for an NFL WR and the split times and drills only confirmed that he's not quick or fast enough to ever be successful at the NFL level. It's hillarious to me that people still say things like you must not have watched Restrop in College. 32 Teams chose not to draft him when the tape gurus here all had him going in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Yes, those coaches have all been fired. The new coaching staff asked Restrepo to come out and play with the tryouts, presumably because they weren't sure he was good enough to make the 90 man roster. That's how two coaching staffs viewed him so you can either assume that ALL OF THEM who do this professionally are wrong, or that maybe you are. Personally, that's a pretty easy call.

And yes, it's skepticism. I called him a long shot and have stood by that stance. He was always a long shot and he still is but I would have zero issue if he overcame that. Outside of Oman, I haven't seen anyone just write him off so much as be realistic about what his chances actually are. Contrast that to the constant pumping him up compared to other guys like Oliver who's been better gets a little old and annoying which is why you see the banter, not because people have anything against Restepo but rather because they want to rile you guys up because at least one of you ALWAYS take the bait.

Restrepo is behind Kinsey on the team right now. Restrepo didn't pass him by or he wouldn't have been out there practicing with the scrubs having to prove himself on to the 90 man roster.

The part about Lockett is pure hyperbole. And he was trash. Which tells you what a non factor Restrepo was with his 3 whole receptions last year.

If you think that 5'9" is not undersized and that 5'7" is a common height in the NFL you are not only lying to me but also to yourself. Outliers are not the average.
