As exciting as this all is I do get flashbacks of the big Ran FA splash. I will say I do trust Borgo more than Ran. Only time will tell.

The huge difference is we struck out on every single one of our primary targets outside of Lloyd Cushenberry that year. We made big signings once we saw we had a lot of money to spend... this year it appears we are hitting on nearly all of our targets

There was also the offseason where we signed Kevin Mawae, Chris Hope and.... Nate Washington? Think there were a few others that year that ended up being foundational for a run iirc.

The strategy of signing mostly ascending players at important positions is such a drastic improvement from retard Carthons FA period

This 100%. And it was a very clear strategy. Not “our top two defensive targets went elsewhere so we threw the bag at a WR.”

Charlie Kolar signing for the same deal as Bellinger doesn't feel great

Couldn't care less how much these guys cost tbh... outside of hating how much money goes to sports in general.

That's my thoughts. People are pocket watching and saying overpay, but these are guys with gas in the tank, and many of them on the ascent. Taylor for example. Not even in his final form!

No.. getting Cam weapons was the top priority of this offseason. Wandale is a great start but it’s not enough. I think defensively we are almost done.

I’m thinking with Big Jeff and JFM wracking havoc on the interior it might not matter who the edges are

Because it means they are playing him outside where he is not as good

In general, this is a dumb opinion in a sport with a salary cap anyway

Is he better than the alternative?  I admittedly know nothing about him but he's gotta be better than some of the stiffs they were trotting out there late in the year.

They still need their wide 9 edge but imo that's not Reese or Bailey. They're more 3-4 OLB edges.

This is why i think there still might be something to this:

But that's Hendrickson looking at the Titans... not necessarily the other way around.
