He’s doing exactly what Ran did 2 years ago. We just have to hope he has a better eye for talent.

The second sentence is true regardless of how much they spend.

Teams with cap space spend money on FAs. Teams with draft picks draft players. Either way what's important is that the players they choose are actually good.

The contracts signed today will have much bigger cap hits in 2027.

Correct. Which means there is still a good chunk for 2026

It’s love and you can’t even see it.

If it’s an offensive player, it is 100% Jeremiyah Love which I’ve posted many times. I’m fine with it. But I still think it will be an Edge pending what happens this week

The difference between what Borgo is doing and what Ran did is where they are in their timelines. The Team Ran inherited was coming down and the roster needed to be reset. They only needed to evaluate Levis and be patient as they added some pieces and drafted key pieces.

In this case, the Titans are coming out of a rebuild. They still lack some pieces but the QB is in place and on a rookie deal. You have to add some talent and the cap is on your side for the next couple of years. They almost have no choice but to spend some. I also feel like, even though they've spent, they haven't been dumb about it and they've spent the money on contributors rather than the big names.

Pierce and Linderbaum would have been Ran moves.

You always gotta go with which area they ignored in FA. High probability anyway

Kuharsky did say they are happier w/the RB spot than most fans think.

And on the WR spot, no reason why they can’t sign someone in wave 2 and dump Ridley.

They're not dumping Ridley. Daboll coached him at Alabama. He likes him.

The one difference (and yes this is very homerish) is that these guys seem to have less red flags than the Ran signings and are mostly around the 25-26 year old range (Franklin-Myers exception)
