He was a home run hitter who took screens to the house which heavily inflates his receiving stats. That’s a poor way to judge his impact to the passing game. Just my two cents. The second part I knew he made a great catch that season so I went back at the play by play, found the game and then found it on YouTube. I actually thought it was the Tampa game, I went through that one but it wasn't. In all he wasn't a great receiver. But he could do it if asked. I think they tried to make him a between the tackles runner when his skill set should have been more of a hybrid guy. They ran him like he was Eddie George. Fisher was old school and thought that running backs play a certain way. I think Johnson could have been used more effectively later in his career. Of course Fisher wasn't even there at that point. I was pretty young back then and didn't watch football the same way I do now. Peyton I have no idea - his heyday is before my time. I just know that both of them were good in the passing game.
