No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

I get it for the QB because they're the QB and they get held to a different standard. Barry Sanders, Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Myles Garrett etc were largely on teams that didn't win. I'd still want them on my team. Their value doesn't diminish to me just because they were on teams who didn't win. Way too may factors that go into winning for an org and team. Unless they play QB, I don't see how you can pin not winning on one player. It's the ultimate team sport as they say.

Absolutely and it's completely insane to argue otherwise. The goal should be to have championship caliber players at every position. All the players you listed are championship caliber players even if they never won a Lombardi.

I want Love. He makes the offense much more dynamic and helps Ward enormously.

Mike Trout never won anything and he's one of the all time greats. I don't blame him for not winning. There's a lot of factors that go into it beyond the control of one player. QB might be the only exception that transcends that. Otherwise I think it's a bit silly. Calvin Johnson never won anything and I'd still love to have him.

Blaine Bishop just compared Love to Marshall Faulk. That is a pretty good comp.

Nope.  Faulk was a stud at SD State.  His numbers blew Love's away.

I guess you will have to forgive me for taking Blaine Bishop's professional opinion over your professional opinion. Blaine played against Marshall Faulk, and I'm sure he is quite adept at watching game film since he did you know............play the game professionally.

And the board here was not at all into CJ.  I came on the baord and said we were takling him at 24 and everyone laughed until it happened.

I wanted CJ as well, and I think I remember other posters here that wanted him as well. That was a long time ago so I may have that wrong. I've slept a few times since then.

CJ >>> Love.

I think Love will be a good pro but he will not be the stud everyone thinks.

Great! You are entitled to your opinion.

CJ had several plays where he ran actual routes and cought the ball.

the problem was that the offense asked only for him to run a screen, turn around 3 yards in the middle of the field with a lb on his hip or to run a flare and that's it.

we also had complete shit at QB his entire time here.  Similar story with WR to back the defense off.

He was a converted WR and was never utilized in fishers idiotic schemes.. His whole career here was basically him being used like Henry in the last Texans game where everyone in the stadium knew what was coming and you just hoped he would break a long one. If he didn't, then "he was washed" or "afraid" - much like idiots here thought of Henry at the end.

Converted WR? Umm no. He was a RB in both high school and at east Carolina university all four years.
