Titans Offseason Discussion Thread

I don't mind this as much as the tape.  He looks like a worse version of MHJ, who hasn't translated nearly as well as his OSU peers.  His highlights are just him beating loose coverage downfield against weak teams who were clearly more focused on Smith.  His production against good schools is relatively minor.  He seems like a one-trick pony whose trick is unlike to work against NFL Ds as the WR1.

Hes not a one trick pony.. I actually think he can do a lot of damage in the slot

No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

That’s a lot of hooch

I definitely think he'll likely be a quality WR.  But he doesn't have the physical attributes, production, athleticism, YAC ability etc. that you expect in Top 10 WR, let alone Top 5.

OTC now shows the Titans as 1st in the league with 70M in cap space and 58M in effective cap space, which is an upward revision from yesterday. Spotrac shows them with 46M in space compared to the 70M for OTC.

Spotrac shows 9 new signees unaccounted for.  OTC shows 5 unaccounted for, but their list doesn't include Martin, Granson, Herring or Adams anywhere.  Both lists show Sneed and Ridley on their rosters and still accounted for.

I'm wondering if the upward adjustment by OTC reflects the rumored positive insurance adjustment, but really can't tell from the available info. Anyone with an insight here?

Rodriguez looks more likely to be an All Pro ILB than Styles.  I wish he was bigger, but the intangibles are off the charts.

I think Rodriguez, Kyle Louis, Jake Golay, Harold Perkins Jr., and Anthony Hill Jr. would all be great fits.

Wow, that was a great idea by Brinker and Marino if that’s the case. Might be a dumb question, but if they get released does the team get additional savings?

The linked article in another thread doesn't explicitly state but I would think the additional savings would still be available.  The insurance covers past lost playing time due to injury.  The future cap savings would cover this year and potentially beyond.

This sounds like a familiar argument!
