Going to find out if he's got a good actual source in the building or not after this week.

I can already tell you the answer...fuck no he doesn't have a good actual source in the building. That doesn't mean he's not talking to guys in the building. But they're only telling him what they don't mind (or more likely, want) getting blasted out on X. It amazes me that people still think teams just openly blabber to the media exactly what their draft plans are.

Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

My argument against Styles strictly is that if I am drafting someone in the top 5, they better be making game changing plays. We did not see enough of that at Ohio State. Mentioned this a couple of weeks ago.

Styles had 13 impact plays (Sack/TFL/INT/FF/FR/PBU/TD) last year + 24 in 2024.

Rodriguez had 32 this year and 27 in 2024.

Hill Jr. had 18 this year and 32 in 2024.

Every defense is different and Styles could’ve just been not asked to do things that would have been more likely to put him in position to make more plays like Rodriguez and Hill Jr., but if you are spending the 4th overall pick on a guy he better have some serious playmaking ability, especially given the team around him should have freed him up to make more plays. Give me Rodriguez or Hill on Day 2.

Positional value aside, I don't see Styles as a vastly superior prospect to the guys that you mentioned.  Maybe not superior at all.  Same way that I feel about Reese.  We could trade back and get Rodriguez/Hill AND Malachi Lawrence and not only address two positions, but potentially with better players as well.

I mean directly importing Bailey and Rodriquez would be going so hard in on defense but damn our defense would be transformed in one off-season.

Idk... maybe we could wait a little while and get Kyle Louis instead. Leave some room for offense and still transform the defense.

On TR? Who is latching on to anything here if so?  Maybe I’m glossing over something but I feel like all the reasonable people here are taking anything wins grain of salt

That wasn't directed at anyone here.

Thats just it though. With Downs roaming the secondary and Reese playing off the ball, Styles should have been free to destroy offenses and he just didn't. honestly I watched quite a bit of OSU this past year and he didn't stand out compared to other guys.

I did not watch any Ohio State football, or almost none, but that's what I was thinking. Styles and Reese just have the feeling of guys with a high bust factor. That's just my gut.
