Ehhh McDaniels was on staff at NE the entire time Vrabel was there (2001-2008). Early on, McDaniels was even a defensive assistant. They do know each other well. That said, McDaniels is also close with the Krafts, who I read were in the interview he had with Vrabel. oldschool Posted January 22, 2025 Report Share Posted January 22, 2025 HCs typically hire guys they know. No big deal. However this was always the problem with Vrabel's staff. His sphere of influence as a coach is too small because he didn't do it long enough before the Titans hired him.
