Super underrated with a great surroundings, which he had for a short period. Unable to overcome like actually elite QBs after that and the illuminati were embarrassingly slow to accept that, even well into last year.

 

Where did he rank in the after period? In the "good enough to keep but wish you could improve on" category ... and they tried ... and they failed ... twice ... and he got even worse and now here we are at the top of the draft.

Yeah this is how it felt. I just remember watching him have to hit tight window throw after tight window throw and thinking that there was no way it was sustainable. It often felt like there were no gimmies or easy completions. The quick hitting crossers weren't there aside from the odd AJ Brown glance route.

I personally can't wait to see this star-studded beta-male staff meathead puts together in NE.

 

If he's smart, he'll learn from Campbell and surround himself with good coaches, but unlike Campbell, Vrabel is insecure and would hate even the hint of challenge to his authority.  I hope it's McDaniels as OC though, because the circus that would ensue when Vrabel dictated the run, run, pass, punt each drive would be hilarious.

You don’t have to wait that long.  He has full personnel powers which means their FAs will come with his “stamp of approval”.  He’ll do fine on the defensive ones (esp. DL, give him credit that’s the one area he knows).

 

But the offensive ones , esp OL, those will be the funny ones.

 

Face it, if we are watching one of their games next year , all you need to watch is this: 10+ pt lead in 2nd q or later and whether or not he takes the air out of the ball.

 

I’m sure he’ll get them to close to the Fisher level which will cause the media to lavish praise on him.

What AJ Brown was the best player on the Titans?  The guy sitting on the bench reading a book with one catch for 10yds or the guy with 180yds and two TDs.  This is the playoffs AJB.

I remember playoff AJB in 2021.  9 catches for 142 yards and a TD.  I remember Henry limping to 62 yards on 20 carries....

 

Money wise, in Brown's last 2 contracts, he's made more fully guaranteed money (91 M) than Henry has in career earnings (67 M) ....  Positional value is something your pea brain isn't capable of understanding.

There were times when I would see the offense go out there on 3rd and long and feel confident they'd pick it up, and was genuinely surprised when they didn't. It was a really strange feeling, and unfortunately fleeting.
