I’m of the opinion they have to get a 1 in 2026 to move down. Even if they have to fall all the way back to 6 or 7. If you’re passing on a QB this year, you need at least some kind of ammo to move up next year.

If they are going to go to 6 or 7, you basically need at least 2 future first round picks for me to even consider it.

Yeah im just saying they shouldn’t trade down to 2 or 3 if they don’t get a  2026 1 if there’s an offer from a team lower down that does have one. As much as I love Abdul Carter.

I keep coming back to this too.  Look back at the pff comments on Mahomes coming out and it could damn well be word for word used to describe Ward.  Not saying Ward will ever be Mahomes, but I think Borgonzi will see enough he likes to pull the trigger

Agreed. And as much as I like Carter, I don't think his value is greater than the #3 overall pick + 2026 NYG 1st rounder (good chance that's a top 5 pick)+ extra picks. He's not a QB.

Justin Graber had a breakdown of previous trades this century. Aside from the ridiculous SF trade for Trey Lance it's very hard to move down and get a future #1. Moving down will net you extra 2s and 3s
