OnsideKick
William & Mary OT Charles Grant is a fun watch. He’s got day 2 ability. He can really move!

He doesn’t have the bulk that Papa Callahan wants on the OL. Better fit for a zone blocking team.

Daniels was such a sure thing EVERYONE had Caleb over him. Stroud people wondered about him having a loaded supporting cast, the bad track record of Ohio State QB in the NFL, good but not amazing physical traits, etc. I'm lukewarm on Ward, but Daniels and Stroud have nothing to do with what I think about him. Starkiller
Every top QB prospect has questions coming out of college. You are rolling the dice no matter who you pick. Ward is no different in that respect. Last year’s “elite” class had no sure things. BeedoeLaw
OnsideKick
UCF RB RJ Harvey may be as quick as RB in the class, but what makes him special to me is his physicality. The dude knows how to finish a run.

I would say the critiques on Drake Maye last year were worse than Ward. And Maye was hardly a sure thing either. A lot of red flags. He was a traits guy who required a lot of projection. He was a pretty damn well rounded prospect. Easily one of the prettiest and most catchable balls iv seen from a qb in the last decade to go along with really good accuracy and good if not elite arm. Unless you want to count that cognitive test bullshit which was stomped out before we even got to the draft. Edit: i had his floor as kirk cousins. It's definitely of the dumbest takes. Like the Titans are actively waiting for him to fail so they can bring in the guy they actually want. If they actually wanted someone else... why didn't they go tf ahead and hire him? BeedoeLaw, and TF_Titan

He was not that good. He improved tremendously in his last year. If you actually compared Daniels and Ward's entire college careers, Ward had the better career. Daniels improvement is actually what makes me think Ward can have a similar amount of improvement. Agreed about Daniels. His trajectory is great. Same thing for Ward though. Barely threw the ball in HS. Went to IW then WS then M. Improvement every year. BeedoeLaw
SleepingTitan
It's hilarious hearing people talk shit about Ward's red zone comp % and sacks. I don't mind it cause he does have a high amount of TDs, and it shows he's taking care of the ball. Kinda sucks when it's a long red zone sack, but hey, that's the price of extending plays. My biggest knock on Ward is 1 read throws or RPOs. He's had a lot of success with it. Miami was just better. He's also really good at making the quick decision on the RPO which leads me to believe that the quick processing skills will translate to the NFL. He's also reading D pre-snap. Sometimes he gets that wrong, and he has tape of disguises fucking with him. But there's hope. He's smart af Hyperion, and BeedoeLaw
OnsideKick
I really, really like the Mason Graham, Walter Nolen, Kenneth Grant group at the top of the iDL class… but the Day 2/Day 3 bucket at the position has a chance to be special. From CJ West and Jamaree Caldwell, to Tyleik Williams, Joshua Farmer, Aeneas Peebles, Jordan Phillips, Cam Jackson and underrated guys like Kyonte Hamilton, Payton Page & others. Teams that do their due diligence will find contributors deeep into Day 3. ________________ Scouting the Loaded Running Back Class + Is Tyler Shough a 1st Round Pick? | The McShay Show Edited February 13, 2025 by OnsideKick
