It sucks because dude has elite processing and accuracy ability. Who’s the 2nd qb off the board , is it still Sanders? Also what does CLE pick at 2 if not a qb? I don't get how these teams have the courage to draft a total project high when they don't have an established QB. I wouldn't have it in me to take that risk. May have too much hero in his blood. Tries to overcome obstacles with arm talent and makes poor decisions because of it. Takes too many chances with low percentage throws. Needs to play smarter and place higher value on the ball. Fastball pitcher whose touch could use improvement short. Will baby the deep throws at times. Field-reading is spotty. Needs to be more patient in allowing combo routes to develop. Would benefit by trading some velocity for better timing. Anticipatory throws don't seem to come naturally. Pre-snap game plan appears unfocused. Breaks from pocket without cause throwing off his timing with receivers. Doesn't keep feet "throw-ready" when sliding in pocket. Frequently defaults to off-platform throws when there is time to set feet and deliver. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/josh-allen/3200414c-4c52-9264-bedc-c4ddaf201fe7 This doesn't sound very good and yet it's part of a scouting report of Josh Allen. I think his success has had a ripple effect on guys like Richardson getting drafted high. Teams are trying to find that guy, but Allen's success is really an outlier. Most guys with his pre-draft profile would bust. Mythos27, IsntLifeFunny, and IowaOiler 2

I will note however, that at least Allen had the excuse that the team around him sucked ass. Richardson was throwing to a future first rounder in Ricky Pearsall and UF wasn't near as bad as Wyoming. That said, I still thought Allen was a bust.
AussieTitanFan08
WTF did Isaiah Bond jump there, not sure there is a WR that could potentially enter this 2025 draft who has had such an underwhelming season compared to preseason expectation as Bond has. That's how teams win There should be several veteran QBs available. One of Carr, Smith, Cousins, Darnold will lilely be available. You also have Drew Lock and Justin Fields as younger less experienced options. Likely all of them would be a 2 yr stop gap options. We all need understand this team is 2, likely 3 yrs from being a playoff team again and we will be lucky to win 6 games next year. You build up the team first then you get the QB. You don't insert a young QB into a bad roster and expect to make it an exceptional team overnight. Look at the Panthers and Giants...been terrible for 5 years because both teams reached for bad QB prospects. The exception would be if the QB prospect were a Luck, Burrow, Manning level prospect which none of these guys are. The teams that have done best with young QBs build up a solid roster first then you add the young QB as the missing piece (Texans, Chiefs, Ravens are all recent examples) headhunter, socaltitan, AvgJoe, and 2 others 2 1

Certainly not with the #1 Overall Pick. Neither of these guys are worth even a top-10 pick imo. They're both reaches in that range as far as I'm concerned. Cam is too helter-skelter for my liking. All the improvisational plays look good on a highlight reel but the reality is he was facing some really bad ACC defenses. That shit isn't going to work in the NFL. We saw Caleb Williams try to use that play-style this year and it was terrible. He led the league in QB Sacks by a wide margin. And Caleb is considerably more talented than Cam is imo. If Shedeur's last name was Smith, he would be considered a top-20 pick at best imo. His last name is carrying him right now. He's surprisingly slow when he escapes the pocket and really doesn't even like to run. Nowhere near the athlete his father was. But he's got his daddy's same ego & selfish attitude though. Hard pass from me. I'd much rather trade down and accumulate future picks as ammunition to go after a QB in next year's much more talented class while still getting Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter, who are the clear-cut 2 best players in this draft imo. Those guys are both blue-chip prospects who are going to be future Pro-Bowlers for years to come. Hunter is the next Champ Bailey and Carter is a Micah Parsons clone, only he's even more dominant as an edge-rusher than Micah was at Penn State. That's the route we should be going, not reaching on a QB in a horrible QB class. But that's unlikely and we're prob just going to take Cam, the guy who literally quit on his team in their bowl game after he got his personal record out of the way because of course we are. Just had to be a horrible QB class the one year we get the top pick lmao... Most Titans thing ever. I doubt you watched games of Ward and Sanders if those are your main takeaways SleepingTitan

Browns QB Deshaun Watson underwent surgery Thursday after tearing his Achilles again, and his status for the 2025 season is now in jeopardy, per league sources. Watson met Thursday with Dr. Robert Anderson before undergoing the surgery. Watson tore his right Achilles tendon Oct. 20, marking the second straight year his season ended because of injury. https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1877758981667434516 I think the Browns kinda alluded to this a week or two ago. And there were reports since the season ended that they were pretty much locked on taking a QB at #2. So if we're drafting a QB this year then it's a really good thing we got number one because at least 1/2 of the 1st round QBs will be gone guaranteed prior to pick
