Then he proved to be what he had always been....injured. Kendall Lamm, Jamarco Jones same stiff. Why on earth he chose to sign these guys at the start of free agency is beyond me. Waiting it out and getting almost any cheaper vet would have been the better option.

He didn't sign J Jones because he was the best player available. He signed him because he was the best player he thought he could afford which is directly related to his cap management. And yeah, the blown cap space on Clowney, Beasley definitely affected the 2021 and 2022 seasons. ctm, and Mythos27

Rich people problems I guess... we'll likely not know for a while... that's why i like the conspiracy angles... one brought up on twitter the other day is that he and several players have the same agency and that several of those guys got signed to now questionable deals and some could have been easily reworked to save $$ but weren't. the other of course is that Vrabel had big offers coming from Ohio state that we can't match but can give him more power and there was a rift forming.... we'll see on that one. But it may also just be an easy write off on their business taxes and it doesn't cost as much as we think.... making the cut easier when considering other reasons. Suddenly, Lewan goes down and it's over. AAS must have wondered if we are this bad if one starter goes down? I assume it set things in motion. Then to be embarrassed again with a 3rd round pick at QB that looked like some HS kid out there certainly didn't help. Glimmer of hope with the GB game, but yeah, the Bengals again coming in here and beating us must have infuriated her, along with the person she perceives puts asses in the seats - Henry - doing nothing. The Eagles game was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back The Farley and Radunz picks also got exposed.

Likely would of just delayed the inevitable. The advantage of making the move now is AAS has got 8 weeks till the Senior Bowl when the new GM simply has to be in place, and she has got clear air and a head start on other franchises in running her GM search. Popular Post Mythos27
I gotta say, watching an entire board agree that the line is so bad and has been mis-managed for so long that it warranted the GM being fired, them turn around and say that the RB is "washed up" is unreal. You people never learn from your mistakes do you? 3 weeks ago, y'all were eating crow on Henry, now he sucks again. You guys really are reactionary aren't you? You need to watch that and see the backs they are using to get yards. Then come back and tell me Henry has that kind of quickness and agility. At some point you will have to concede he has been injured and he is 28. He is not the same guy. You need to understand that when there are no holes to run through, no back looks quick to the hole. Henry is having to try to find a hole (that doesn't exist) pretty much every time he gets the ball instead of just hitting the one that should be there immediately. You need to learn how this works. You don't lead the NFL in rushing for half a season and then suddenly forget how to run. You and the others have always make the mistake of attributing OL issues to Henry. It's why half of you sound schizophrenic when discussing Henry. He looks amazing when there is running room and pretty shitty when there isn't. That's it. No big mystery. Henry has lost a step, but we're talking about 20 mph instead of 21 mph. I do NOT think RT deserves to use the Oline as an excuse. Neither does Downsing for these putrid play calls. The oline didn't throw into triple coverage last year vs Bengals. The oline didn't run that fucking jetsweep or put Hollister in to block. Nash
The article details how the 6 man fronts Henry has been facing were designed by Belichek to take away the outside zone run..if 1 OL blocker is not effective, the runner can be stopped in the backfield and the whole system disrupted.. the counter is either a very quick back to the outside, screen passes, bulb screens, and according to Shannahan an effective blocking back/fullback.. this leads to several questions: 1) can Henry get outside , 2) why was the fullback released, 3) if just 1 blocker is ineffective the system fails, how about 2 on out left side and possibly the right tackle.. The OL is so bad that you pretty much have to toss like half of your playbook out against good teams. If Burks wasn't such a monster at contested catches we'd have like no deep completions. I don't like Downing; never have but these conditions are ridiculous. This line motherfucking sucks. Sometimes I feel bad that they got J-Rob fired until I remember everyone one these bums is here because of him in the first place .
