If we are becoming a zone coverage team with disguises etc, are any of our current corners able to play it?  I’m guessing you don’t pay zone corners as much money and they are easier to find.. is that true?

We don’t have any starting level corners.

Get mcdaniel and its good for at least a year or 3.  Then we can see if this is strategically poor.  Defense will get better but they already held teams surprisingly well through halftime this year with Wilson.   Improvements in defense will not overall improve the team that much.

This isnt true at all; they usually gave up more pts in the second half.  if anything , the defense was the major issue still after Callahan got fired

yes -  bc teh offense couldn't do ANYTHING.   It couldn't move the ball. Defense was not really a problem.. not a going great or anything. but for a whole half in some instances- they were holding.. we were hitting long field goals.

Then the defensive dam would break.

Turron is so unprofessional. As a former college student journalist (not even paid!), I’m pretty disgusted by his naked dislike for certain people in the organization and then his fawning over Willis when he was horrible. Plus he’s too dumb to call an Uber.

I expect these kind of baseless claims from Diana Russini (who will never forgive AAS for lying to her), but Turron is supposed to be ESPN’s version of a titans beat reporter. No respect for the profession at all.

He’s also a bad writer. His articles don’t have any sort of flow or juice to them.

Edit: Turron makes PK look like a Pulitzer winner

The only game where the opposting team scored a lot in teh first half was the colts... bc of a Cam pick 6.

Best example of this was the Texans.. defense held them to 0 until the 4th quarter.

What the hell are you talking about? The offense scored in the second half of the year .  And the defense wasn’t able to match and you know stop teams .  The game against SF is a very good example.   That one game they won against Cleveland that Ward didn’t play well but Pollard broke off a bunch of long runs was another .  They allowed Shadeur Sanders to pass over 300 yards and get 2 tds in the fourth quarter pretty easily.
