My thoughts.   I post infrequently nowadays but do want to do so tonight.  I have vacillated with each new entry into the HC/OC sweepstakes.  I studied what I could with available data on ea

FWIW on F Words Zach Lyons just said he heard the interview between McDaniel and the Titans went “very well”.

This alternative scenario is interesting and I think I prefer it to Nagy as HC (in the event Weaver is lost to the Ravens)-

Weaver goes to the Ravens as HC

Harbaugh goes to LV or Browns

Titans go with Burke as HC/Nagy as OC/Schwartz as DC

Burke is one of the smartest human beings in the NFL. An Ivy League guy like Borgonzi and Schwartz. He's really heavily into analytics and game management. Looks like a civil war general. Would likely bring in Munchak as OL coach and retain his friends Frank Bush and Tony Oden (both worked under him in Miami), our best defensive coaches. Also spent time across from Bo Hardegree in Miami.

Bill Lazor was Nagy's right hand man on offense in Chicago (and actually had some nice accomplishments there at times, including a really good stretch of leading the NFL in rushing offense after Nagy had struggled running the ball during his stint there). Well Lazor has worked across from Burke for 3 years now in Houston and would easily slot in as Nagy's pass game coordinator.

There is no one in the current NFL who is more legacy Tennessee Titans than Burke other than Schwartz himself. He was Jeff Fisher's coaching assistant before becoming his defensive quality control coach and then following Schwartz to Detroit. He's even more OG Titans than Arthur Smith by almost a decade.

Name me a better fit for the current rendition of the organization than Matt Burke - I'll wait.

Edit: Funny enough, Lou Anarumo, who is 10 years his senior, worked under Matt Burke in Miami as well.

Besides Bones as far as guys I think the FO will push to keep, I would bet Luke Stocker will be one. He allegedly got way more involved in coordinating the run game after the bye and have to imagine that’s a factor in why it’s gotten so much better

Yes, I would be highly highly surprised if Stocker is let go. He's their best home grown coach on staff, and everyone loves him and lauds his work with Helm.

His contract with the Chiefs is up and he wants to call plays.

That seems a crazy reason to leave a fairly successful team though. I would imagine if he left there-he'd want to go when they were hot.  It seems a poor time for him to leave uness its a HC job.

He can go elsewhere as a an OC without a guy like Mahomes and he can look a lot worse.

I get the impression that the Chiefs org is ready for some change, a lot of their fans want him gone (I personally think Reid at his age is more of an issue than Nagy). I don't know that he'll have much choice in the matter, it's a more graceful exit for him than being fired. Eric Bieniemy and Mike Kafka are both good options for them to be their next OC.

It's the same thought process that Bieniemy had when he left though, wanting to get out from under Reid and call plays to take the next step in the HC progression.

I actually like most of our staff.

These guys can go - Mccoy, Holz, Tolbert,...

Hard to judge Tony Oden and Steve Jackson but they could be replaced.

Everyone else is not bad and actually decent Imo for what we've had to work with. Bring in a HC/OC (both having success calling plays before) and whomever else to add to the staff that helps on O.  bring back munch (pipe dream probably)

I think Wilson has been hamstrung for 2 years and did the best he could with zero corners and 1 good front 7 player.  I like the way theyve played despite losing half the D.
