They did Callahan a huge favor by saving him from what would have been an incredibly humiliating experience. I wouldn't be surprised if he asked them to go ahead and get it over with so he wouldn't have to go through it. He's definitely soft enough to ask for that last part, but yeah the fans were prepared to come up with new and creative ways to go after him on Sunday. If would have been a bloodletting. For some coaches it is just a mantra (like Brian Callahan), but McCoy apparently is not married to any passing philosophy other than having a strong running game. That said, his offenses have not always been successful to say the least.
