What I meant was is he Restrepo actually produced better in college than Phillips. This place way overhyped Phillips ability (mainly bc he’s white and Cooper Kupp had just had his all time season). Idk if Restrepo will do anything in the pros. If he does, great. Getting him was a steal. If he doesn’t, oh well. It was just a UDFA. 
 

I know the 40 time was slow, but I’m still kind of surprised he didn’t go in the 6th or 7th rounds. The production he had at Miami was great. Thought for sure he was worth a 6th or 7th round flyer.

He returned punts and played on coverage teams early in his Miami career. Reportedly making an impact according to his bio.  Played on both sides of the ball in HS.  Guessing.....he's got a chance to make the roster in 2026.

@AvgJoe Restrepo was good even before Cam transfered to Miami, correct? Seems like I remember noticing him in 23.

Yes, he has always produced even with spotty QB play. Tyler Van Dyke was the QB for the majority of the time Restrepo was at Miami and he was awful.

good point. I like the pickup and would have been fine if they spent a late rounder on him. Its just crazy that so many here assuming he's going to contribute in a meaningful way. He has an uphill battle to make the 53 and the only reason he was signed is because Ward lobbied for it. I'm curious to see if he can force his way on the field with his physical limitations. shifty slot guys who can't get deep don't play like they did 10-15 years ago.

Restrepo has no vertical element so he's never going to be a full time starter but that doesn't mean he can't carve out a role and be a productive player. He could certainly have a more impactful role than Kyle Phillips had.

And he will be at best WR5 or WR6. He’s already behind:
